Blake is likely staying especially because of his consistency. But Farmar is the backup in case anything happens to Blake or to Nash again.

If Kobe comes back healthy Nick Young will be our backup 2 and Meeks will be the odd man out.

Our team STILL isn't complete as well =p

Yeah but if you have a chance to move him for a pick, they probably should. Shed salary and get a pick in what looks to be a really deep draft.

Farmer gets ONE MILLION DOLLARS to sit on the bench.  What is next, Luke Walton?

Seriously, given the constraints of the salary cap, Mitch K. has done a decent job getting scrub role players on the cheap.

I think we are gonna wait to see how Blake and Meeks play before the deadline. If they have a high value by then, we use it to our advantage. Blake is really a proven back-up pg now and he also improved his scoring and attacking the rim abilities. If we can not find a decent starting 3, i think we will try to fin it via trading Blake and/or Meeks. So in that case, bringing back Farmar is a brilliant move. Even if we don't trade those two, it is still a decent move. He knows the system, he gives us a different kind of pace and he plays with passion. We just need to do the right adjustments (e.g. bringing Zen Master back) to get the most out of him. Then he is the perfect pick for our new bench mob.

Farmar was close to being in the 40 50 90 club in his last season. Had 47% FG and 44 3P% and 90% FT. Not bad

Well, we got faster, younger and more athletic in a HURRY...

Still think we need another 3 and a backup 4...but great job overall this offseason by Mitch...not that I was worried.  He's now proven himself to be consistently one of the best GMs in pro sports right now...we HAVE to hold on to him...

Young and Johnson are gonna play 3 I think. So think we're ok there. Definitely need another 4 though.

His last year as a Laker looks like this from what I can find:

FG 48%

3p  38%

FT  67%

Not that appealing.

Source:  http://www.euroleagu...er?pcode=003423

Let's see, playing against primo competition in Turkey how he has done this last year:

FG  54%

3p  35%

FT  80%

And I believe the 3p lines are essentially the same in the NBA and Europe now IIRC.

Well his last year as a laker was like 3 years ago so those stats are unfair to judge him from. The stats I put were quite recent. Putting up his laker stats is kinda pointless being that he has had a lot of time to get better and obviously has gotten better.
