I don't understand the apprehensions everyone had about Chris' age. Do you think the Lakers are going to give him a long term contract considering they want to wipe the slate clean in 2014?

The Lakers offered him just enough money so the Knicks would not be able to match it since they used part of their MMLE this week.

Glad to see!

Marc Berman: According to source, Copeland hasn't decided on offer sheet yet. Lakers very much in mix but have to wait on Dwight Howard.

Figuring Dwight resigns, then Copeland comes on board.

Dwight is the first domino in this. Lakers aren't filling out the roster with quality players until Dwight makes a decision to return. If he doesn't, then we're going to end up picking up the scraps.

Mike D’Antoni reached out to Copeland at the start of free agency; apparently, D’Antoni’s Knicks were interested in Copeland during the lockout year, but by the time the small forward was on New York’s roster, D’Antoni had been fired.

Finally... a D'antoni player someone would actually support :D

Doubt Copeland wants to go back to NY, anyway.  They put him on the backburner in the playoffs.

Undeservedly so may I add.

I hated whenever he hit a three  when the ball was swung to him that Woodson sat him :smh:

I think I remember distinctly he had Copeland in there against Indiana and Copeland finally started hitting shots and Carmelo was waiting to come in and cheering it.

But instead of taking out Stoudemire and moving Melo to the 4 so Copeland could continue scoring he brought in Carmelo, sat Copeland and kept Stoudemire in...

I have never come so close to feeling such anger for a team that wasn't the Lakers but Woodson's idiotic coaching throughout that series was bothering me.. when he made that substitution I nearly flipped my desk over

of course.  Cause Dwight reportedly isn't gonna re-sign.  That's what all these free agents were waiting on that we had the attention of.
