GCMD you are correct. However this is only without Dwight returnin

I don't know why they couldn't do this concurently.  Waive MWPOS on the 10th...and if Dwight stays sign him after the 10th.  Being under the apron allows for a S & T.  The processing of that deal wouldn't preclude the Lakers from still being able to offer Dwight the same max deal.  On a side note, can we offer to take out a collection to buy out the Lakers committment to MDA?  I bet some of those Hollywood guys would be able to help us.

I wouldnt mind Matt back, knows Pau and Kobe, most of management, I'm sure he could help this team more than Meta + Jodie+AJ... Could probably help smoothen things with Kobe and Dwight too, competetive guy who has fun playing.. Kinda sucks he was hurt a bit in his last 2years here, but you could see last year he was good when he was healthy, made a huge difference in games where clips won.

He's one of those players that will go out there and give it a lot. I wouldn't complain if he was signed, but I don't know how fast I would be looking to sign him.

Clippers have been pushing for Carl Landry but that may remove Barnes from the equation

@ESPNSteinLine

Clippers & Carl Landry, I'm told, in serious contract talks. Hearing Clips optimistic, but question is: Will it cost 'em whole mid-level?'

Ramona Shelburne@ramonashelburne

Hard to see how Clippers have enough $$ for both Matt Barnes and Carl Landry. They may have to choose

A guy they should have never let leave.  He was a last minute pickup by the Clippers when Grant Hill was expected to get the backup minutes at SF.  Lakers ended up signing Ebanks lol.  Man do they know how to scout talent and basketball production.

This is what pisses me off mostly about the "I wish they didnt fire Mike Brown and hire MDA" crowd.  When they brought Sessions in and him and Barnes were doing well off the bench.  He brought Sesh into the starting lineup and had him slow down in the offense.  IIRC when Sessions came Barnes went up to like 12-13 PPG in roughly the same amount of minutes.  We had something there and they gave up on it...

Jared Zwerling @JaredZwerling

Hearing Matt Barnes could sign with either the Lakers or Clippers for around the mini mid-level. Obviously D-Howard situation is priority.

He left because of Mike Brown.

Matt barnes is likely to get old soon. too many injuries and years and game is dependent upon speed, and such.

^ Yeah, that was the stupid part. They have enough wings & shooters and yet they went against what they lack most in post play. Wow.
