There's good points on both sides, but definitely more overall against Dwight. The greatest one in favor of Dwight was simply the Lakers keeping a coach that went totally against everything Dwight best stood for as a player. That was just absurd. Didn't even have to be Phil, at least someone who's a little closer a fit into what Dwight is best at and likes to do, but that's all irrelevant now.

Updated thread title and first post by the way. Good work Maj.

Given Kobe's invovlement in the offense and now this hire, I feel like coaching won't be an issue. I think D'Antoni has the challenge of immersing himself in a mode to fit these pieces

Indeed.

We still turn it over too much though ;)

True, but that's even more expected with mostly scrubs and guys that aren't familiar playing with one another.

yeah I really do like some of the schemes we've been running defensively.  If he could instill some of that though just a few days of camp with these guys thta never played together one could imagine what we could do with an entire summer camp.

Kurt Rambis should be in the fold for the Lakers, officially, in the next couple of days

Is anyone else surprised George Karl & Lionel Hollins don't have jobs?

Not really unfortunately.

Lionel Hollins went toe to toe against a GM and "pushed" a player -_-

So for some reason he's being avoided.   Grizzlies hurt themselves there and just didn't want to admit that they needed Rudy Gay in the playoffs when it came time to need a player that could create their own shot off an iso cause the mid was overloaded.

george karl deserves his retirement.

Can we bring Joel Myers back to be our play by play announcer as well? Get rid of that clown Billy Mac.

No, not at all. Billy Mac is no where near close to cool enough to pull that off. It would be too painful.

Pisses me off when Pau hits a mid-range jumper and he says cash or money. He only does it for him too.
