^ Done. I only liked to keep it there initially cause the name Woj. just adds so much more legitimacy to everything, lol. It's powerful.

Yeah but others have reported to be done and its silly to have Woj's name at the end saying "he may soon join"

Finally.

Some form of competence in the coaching staff will go a long way in ensuring we don't completely fail this upcoming season.

But, this is weird to me. Wasn't Rambis calling out D'Antoni throughout the season (especially when he got hired)? How did they mend that relationship? I know MDA was considering hiring Rambis when he first got the job, but reconsidered after he put him on blast.

There has to be more to this. Rambis is Phil's leading man. PJ is definitely behind this move in some capacity.

He might end up the interm coach if Antoni gets fired. It would be strange to fire Dantoni and have his brother still there.

The relationship was mended when Rambis said to Pringles "count the rings [expletive]" with Phil Jackson standing by nodding in approval...

Good for Kurt.

One of my all-time favorite Lakers from his rookie year.  The best part is, D'Antoni's replacement will already be in-house and ready to go when he finally gets released.

I am glad that they are sticking with getting Rambis despite a certain someone leaving.

Now if they go get Ron Adams too I will send Buss a bouquet of flowers.

Wishful thinking but apparently Mitch and them are looking at some of the Spurs assistants.

Lakers expected to agree to deal with Kurt Rambis by Friday
Lakerholicz.com | Lakers news, rumors, videos and more > Featured > Lakers expected to agree to deal with Kurt Rambis by Friday

kurt_rambis.jpg

Kurt Rambis, the former player and coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, appears to be closing in on a deal that would bring him back to the bench of his former team, except this time he’d be a part of Mike D’Antoni’s coaching staff.

According to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne, the Lakers and Rambis should have a deal done by Friday:

Kurt has been seen on occasion with both D’Antoni and general manager Mitch Kupchak during some of the Lakers’ Summer League games in Las Vegas this month.

Although it is unclear what role Rambis would have with the team, he spent the majority of his years focusing on defensive schemes, a place many say D’Antoni could use some help. Rambis, who is very defensive-minded, could possibly be one of the missing links the team needs to turn things around.

If the Lakers and Rambis do agree on a deal, it would be his third time joining the team as a coach.

A signing of Rambis would suggest that Kurt’s good friend Phil Jackson will have a bigger role with the team than any of us might have guessed, as his voice may be heard through Rambis, which should excite Laker fans everywhere.

I'm thinking D'Antoni's gone when things go bad and Rambis is here as someone who can step in immediately, per Phil's reccomendation.

...Or D'Antoni just realized he needed a familiar defensive coach. But that's giving him too much credit.

I 100% expect Kurt Rambis to be our interim head coach at some point next season.

What I want to know is, Rambis has been critical of D'Antoni all season long, and now he is his assistant? Something's else might be up if ya catch my drift

Mitch: Kurt, put up with D'Antoni for a couple months, maybe through all star break, and this team is yours for the taking after.

Kurt is probably thinking that this team could be his in 2014, where we might end up with an all-star filled lineup.
