Got this from a poster on Lakersground.net

http://espn.go.com/e...geles/play?s=la

Just now from Dave McMenamin.

Question: Are Lakers looking to make a trade into the 1st round of the draft?

DM: Jordan Hill looks to be a candidate to be traded to get a 1st round draft pick.  He's not a "Mike D'Antoni" type player, and D'Antoni doesn't play him much.

Can somebody show me who is an MDA guy?  Because it seems to me that any player that knows how to rebound and hustle are not MDA guys.

MDA is an offensive genius. I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps doing what he does best: Run and Gun. That's the only way to coach.

I'm pretty sure the lakers already know how everybody  feels about MDA.  I just think they don't give two [expletive] about what anybody else feel really.  No point of sending them any message. I did suggest fans who will be going to the game this season to hold up a Fire MDA sign or when Lorence Tennor introduce MDA people should start booing. BUt I doubt it will happen because we got too much class.

D'antoni DID play him, the one or two DNP's are apparently put on a higher pedestal than him getting significant playing time after and D'antoni picking him over Jamison until he(Hill got injured) and how Hill was gonna be the guy that started when D'antoni wanted to move Pau to the bench but Hill was injured by then so that went to Metta(who played the 4 instead).

Do guys even remember D'antoni saying how worried he was he'd lose Jamison because he was picking Hill over him and was hoping he'd understand why?

And then when Hill went down, and Pau came back and Jamison still didn't play that's when he felt like the team didn't want his "services" anymore.

So I don't know where Mcten gets that D'antoni didn't play Hill much from.  he PICKED Hill over the stretch 4 in Jamison who is the guy we all expected to get playing time over Hill.

Let's be honest if Hill never went down with injury Jamison rarely if ever would have gotten playing time.  That was becoming apparent because he wasn't effective at the 3 when D'antoni tried to play him there.

Was it Jamison in there playing big time minutes against the Warriors in Nash's first game back? No... it was Jordan Hill.  D'antoni made it apparent he was picking the guy over Jamison.  So where did "D;antoni didn't play him much" come from?   D'antoni favored him over Jamison after one or two DNPs and it was Hill going forward till that injury he sadly suffered :(

If it's a top 15 pick. Sure. Maybe pick up a Dejuan Blair in free agency

Honestly, this is starting to piss me off.

If we move Hill for a shooting big man or a running PG, and then we lose Dwight, I'm going to drive to LA and punch Jim Buss in the face.
