Go check all the comments on the Lakers facebook page where the photo got posted.

I went. Yea those posts are rather extreme.

Have you never seen Kobe before? Does he seem like the type of player to just sit back and watch his team lose? He will play with a cast if he has to.

:smh:

No actually I have never seen Kobe before. Who are you talking about? Fill me in.
CMON MAN. Anyways I hope your right. Its just science, medical history and player history suggests otherwise. But I hope KB is the NEO of Achilles tears.

What a pitiful desperate measure.

Disappointed yet again in the "new" Laker organization.

I hope they put one up that says "GO" for D'Antoni.

Where's the 95% coming from????

Buss said during the season that he's 95% sure that Dwight will re-sign.

Most Laker stans are idiots & dont keep things in perspective.

Looking at all the comments on the Facebook post, our fans are idiots. All of them want Dwight to leave...

I don't know where this " we don't do this" stuff comes from.

There was no social media , last time we had a campaign for a big time FA was Kobe, and we rtraded Shaq and let Phil go.

that wasn't Jim and neither is this.

this is JEANIE's DEPARTMENT.

WE really do have uninformed fans out here, wow.

If the Lakers were confident Dwight was staying then they wouldn't feel the need to do this.

Not trying to criticize Jim, but instead of saying 95%, say "confident" instead. Huge difference.

Regarding the banner, the Lakers are trying to show Dwight how much the city loves him. Orlando freakin pit up a billboard and that didn't work.

Haha it's a [expletive]ing banner. Calm down.

It's lose-lose. Had they not put up this silly ass banner half of the fan base would be complaining, claiming that "they didn't do anything to show Dwight they wanted him here."

It's a banner. Shut up.

IT'S A SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN.

Take it up with Jeanie Buss, she's in charge of all this.

Some of you are too overly emotional about all this.  It's not a big deal whatsoever.  I swear some of you are so in love with the idea that "We are the Lakers, we are above everyone else", that you fail to see the situation as it is right now.

I think a lot of them are saying a lot of this stuff out of fear he's going to leave.

Sometimes the Lakers can't do ANYTHING without some of their own fans trying to make something negative about it.

If we did nothing they would complain that we're not showing Dwight that we want him here.

If we hang a banner they say it's a pathetic attempt to show we care.

There's no pleasing them till Dwight re-signs.

I highly doubt that. People would be busy saying how awful Dwight is.
