If Nets complete deal for Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, franchise's payroll will be $100 million, with a luxury tax bill of nearly $80M.

I'm pretty sure the Celtics are gonna go for Wiggins now.

Their owner is a multi-billionaire. He can cover it.

That's like losing $2 in the washing machine for the new owner.

The dude can care less.

Trade for Austin Rivers, say, Hill & Johnson.

I think if KG have a choice to go to Nets or Clippers, the Nets seem more likely.  For one, KG doesnt want to move across the country. He got a nice house in the east coast. Another is he has to share buildings with the hated Lakers?

He's got a house here in L.A. as well, but he can't even be traded to the Clippers directly from the Celtics anyway for basically basketball reasons just for the record.

Plus at the end of the day, you still have Joe Johnson.

For as horribly inconsistent at times Joe Johnson is, he has shown one largely valuable asset, which is the ability to come through in clutch moments & situations. He takes & makes big shots and can get his own shot off pretty well.

Woj bomb

He dropped a bomb on us like the Gap Band.

Looks like KG and PP REALLY want to go somewhere to put themselves in a position to beat the Heat.

They want that revenge on Mr. Shuttlesworth I believe more than they do on King Flop.

Three first rounders?!?

Such a sad day for laker land

That's not a bad one either.

Boston had raised the Garnett-Pierce package with a Western Conference team, but very few places, if any, would go all-in like Nets on this.

That's what happens when you've got a Russian owner. All business.

Gonna be awk as [expletive] with Terry's celtic tattoo on his arm... hahaha

Lmao.

ESPN sources say Nets do NOT expect verdict tonight from Kevin Garnett on waiving no-trade clause. The two teams otherwise ready to deal

That Nets team is really solid. How do the salaries match up though? I don't think Reggie, Bogans, and another minimum player are going to work unless they sign Bogans to a max contract (that would be hilarious).

Kevin Garnett will agree to trade to Brooklyn and Celtics are sending KG and Paul Pierce to the Nets, league sources tell Y! Sports.

The Nets have agreed to fully guarantee the $12 million owed Garnett in the 2014-'15 season, sources tell Y! Sports.

Looks like it's done.

At least the east now has good teams and miami wont have have a straight shot to the finals. Chicago, nets, pacers all contenders in the east now.

True to some extent, but I'm still waiting on the Bulls to hopefully make some kinda move or addition before the season comes around and for the Pacers as well to hopefully address some of those issues on the perimeter with ballhandling and shot-making from the outside.

Well if they were to get LA like some rumors have been saying they would give the heat major problems.

^ Agreed. I'm encouraged by the news, but won't be satisfied until or if it actually gets done.

He can go MMA all over MDA.

We've got someone better do that already in Metta World Peace. All it would take is one of his James Harden elbows and MDA would be out for the season.
