He did a workout with Hakeem one summer a while ago. Didn't help much.

A while ago I'll say. 2010 and he didn't seem to learn a damn thing.

Although actually, he was rather deadly with the dream shake from time to time, especially in the Spurs series.

Remember, he did had back surgery so don't assume he didn't learn anything. kinda hard to do with coming off major back surgery

^ He took these lessons with Hakeem in 2010. Last time I checked he didn't have the back surgery in 2010 or 2011.

Good point my bad. I'm just frustrated with every Laker (mostly) fan saying he didn't do jack this season or didn't have any post moves

Well he did do jack, but he didn't have very many post moves. A few even if albeit basic is at least still more than none.

he should work out with kareem.

Not built like Kareem. I think he just needs to work on his 12 foot bank shot.

He can take one guy off the dribble well for a C, but gets stripped in traffic or really congested areas.

But Dwight is a multi time All Star without Kareem and Hakeem.

Howard whined about not having touches in the post when he had no post moves, he used his body to help him last year.

He should learn and apply some post moves, especially that we're playing in a slow offense style. I'm sure he knows his offense was weak last season, and for sure he's working on it plus free throws..

Well after he took those lessons from Hakeem he averaged
22/14

And the year after which was his injury ridden year he averaged 20/14.

Then this year he coming off back surgery averaged 17/12 which isn't bad either considering the circumstances and didn't he average 15 rebounds in the second half of the season as well?

It was quite obvious he was rusty from the get go and couldn't PnR or move around in the post like he wanted to, it was obvious how off his footwork was, hence why he is going to train with Hakeem again.

I dunno why people say he didn't learn anything from Hakeem as if the guy didn't average 22/14 the next season... right cause centers like that grow on trees right?

That was a general statement by the way, not towards you.

In the short term, of course Dwight going to Houston makes sense.  However, I think Spurs, Memphis, OKC and DEFINITELY Miami are leaps and bounds better and ultimately after 2-3 seasons he will see that the team has no hopes and regret leaving LA.

Lakers ALWAYS find themselves in a contender position every few years.  Of course, this is assuming Jim Buss starts accepting a different role.
