Why players would rather take a hit up top

Utah over Stanford

Should make UCLA look even more impressive then.

I hate how overrated the SEC teams are. It's nearly impossible to project how good they really are with all the cupcakes they schedule at the early part of their schedules. It's a load of crap, when is the PAC-12 going to get the respect they deserve?

When the Pac-12 actually does something to deserve the respect over the SEC.

I hate the SEC more than anyone but they have proven it on the field the last few years how good their conference is.

When's the last time someone other than the SEC won the national championship?

Oregon's first game was against Nicholls St...who? I don't see you saying anything about that. Then they played Virginia

Oregon beat Cal...Cal is 1-5

Oregon beat Colorado...Colorado is 2-3

I'm not citing that to slight Oregon. I'm citing that to say that pretty much everyone has cupcakes in their schedules.

Pac-12 has two teams in the top 10...SEC has three teams in the top ten; what's the big deal?

Who's your team?

UCLA? They beat Nevada, New Mexico St, and Cal...wow. Definitely looks like cupcakes "at the early part of the schedule" to me.

My complaint is how the SEC starts the preseason off being overrated. Too many teams in the top 25, so if one were to lose than another would immediately get the jump into a higher rank. Yeah, I admit my original comment was too brash lol. I'm still not going to retract the whole statement. The only true cupcake UCLA's schedule was NMSU. Nevada and Cal are legit programs having down years. I mean Cal is the worst team in the PAC 12 and they almost beat auburn lol. The truth is, i dont even think UCLA belongs in the top 10 yet, Baylor has proven to be the much better team. I can't defend Oregon, I don't follow them much because I basically hate them, but at least their entire non conference isn't all fcs schools lol. You can't blame them for the programs having down years.

"Overrated" is the last description that could be assigned to the SEC.

(1)Alabama is undefeated

(6)LSU is 6-1

(7)Texas A&M is 5-1

(11)South Carolina is 5-1

(14)Missouri is undefeated

(15)Georgia is 4-2

(24)Auburn is 5-1

(Unranked)Florida is 4-2

You said they start the season off being overrated. You're basing this on what? Last season's performance?

- Alabama finished 13-1 and won the National Championship...again.

- LSU finished 10-3 (Lost by one point to Clemson in the Chick-fil-A Bowl)

- Texas A&M finished 11-2 (Won against Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl)

- South Carolina finished 11-2 (Won against Michigan in the Outback Bowl)

- Missouri finished 5-7 (They were no good last season)

- Georgia finished 12-2 (Won against Nebraska in the Capitol One Bowl)

- Auburn finished 3-9 (lol they were pathetic)

- Florida finished 11-2 (Lost to Louisville in the Sugar Bowl)

A cupcake is a cupcake.

- UCLA beat Nevada 58-20 last season.

- Nevada finished the season 7-6 including a losses to Air Force and USF

- Nevada is on pace to do exactly what they did last season: Finish 7-6

- Cal? lol Cal sucks. Um, when did Cal play Auburn??? Let alone "almost" beating Auburn?

Alabama played Notre Dame, the most overrated team in the nation, for the championship. And you can't tell me that they weren't the second best team that year. Oklahoma was trash for their team that year. Michigan was really overrated that year too, it's being proven this year. Nebraska was another big 12 junk team. Ucla merked them for 2 straight years now.
The reason all the teams records are so high because of a mediocre bottom division of the conference and 3-4 of their out of conference schedules are fcs teams lol.
My bad, it was Washington state that almost beat auburn. It was northwestern and Ohio st who was having trouble with Cal.

Alabama has won 3 outta the last 4 national championships...come on now.  <_<

Notre Dame was undefeated bruh. They beat Michigan, they beat Michigan St, they beat Miami, they beat Stanford, they beat Oklahoma...how is that overrated? Who else would they have put in that spot to get smashed by Bama?

Oregon lost to Stanford last season btw...the same team Notre Dame beat. Hell, they almost lost to Lane Kiffin and USC.

UCLA beat Nebraska by 6 points last season; how is that "merked"??? lol

Okay you got me bruh lol. I do still have an argument, but you're just going to counter better again. Still doesn't change my opinion about the SEC though ;)

^ Hey man, ain't no shame in admitting the other was more right. That takes a lot of humility and is sadly rarely seen these days. Props for that.

You probably have an argument for UCLA's placement but then again...I wouldn't argue you on that since they are undefeated and have taken care of their business thus far this season. Their next two games though? Two consecutive games on the road...at Stanford AND at Oregon? Yikes. Big props if they make it thru that.

Lol, well the evidence he presented is indisputable. Albeit, the SEC may not have the greatest of teams or schedules. They still had the most solid teams last year.

If UCLA comes out winning both, they have a legit case for being #2, possibly #1. I just don't think we're ready yet to come out with even 1 victory, still a very young team. I think our time will come next season.
