As good as Peyton is, he's still no Tom Brady.  That second half performance by Brady, against the wind, is very revealing of how great he truly is, and Peyton struggling in those conditions all night long only puts the stamp on the envelope when mailing it in.

Pathetic showing by Colts past few weeks now.

How's T-Rich coming along?

Brady is more accustomed to those conditions.

Still, despite the loss, Peyton was able to throw two touchdowns. He's on the right path. This game really lifted both teams. The Broncos proved that they do have a nice defense to go a long with their superb offense (when they're locked in). The Patriots, despite losing some key players, are still the Patriots. They will contend for the super bowl every year as long as Tom Brady and Belichick are both on the same team.

Pats haven't done anything since 2004. Haven't been a great team since 2007 with Moss.

They're kinda like the NFL version of the San Antonio Spurs...choke city.

Plus it's not as simple as blaming Manning. He did what he always does in the 1st half which was be the player/coach. He knew the conditions were not in his favor and went to the ground. Manning had what 70 yards at halftime, but Mareno was at 120+ at halftime and the Broncos had a 24-0 lead.

Then the inconsistent defense showed up in the second half. Getting pretty much zero pressure on Brady allowing him literally all day long in the pocket while the man coverage broke down on the field.

Meanwhile Manning had some good throws dropped but you could tell as usual he wasn't comfortable in the weather. His arm strength not being what it was had some throws get away from him in the wind. Plus 4 turnovers in the second half didn't help at all either.

I gotta agree with you. Although they haven't won the title in a few years, year in & year out they're a treat & very consistent as far as being a good, solid ball club. A model of consistency if you will. I wish my Cowboys were more like them.

By your logic, Peyton isn't on a great team either. He hasn't won since 2006. The Pats have been one of the best teams in the league for years. They have the best winning percentage of the decade. They're a great team. Not even debatable.

I don't even know what you mean. I'm talking about a franchise and you're talking about one player.

People have been foolishly "drinking Boston's tea" for years. Every year, it's pretty much the same thing with the Patriots.

What fruit have they bore to be this so-called "great team" that you claim them to be? No, they are not a great team.

Watch the games.

Every year, they trot the same pathetic squad out there. All offense and no defense.

Their resume reads like the typical losers' prototype:

- Lost in the Conference Championship

- Lost in the Super Bowl (again)

- Lost in the Divisional round (14-2 regular season record lol)

- Lost in the Wild Card round

Nice to see KC come down to earth recently finally getting tested fairly. Too many easy teams for most of their schedule early on.
