Any chance Boston takes a chance on Lionel Hollins or George Karl?

I hope they hire Vinny Del Negro. He would be an excellent coach there.

I can see Boston taking Byron Scott actually.

They don't exactly have the post presence to bring in a guy like Hollins, who knows how many years George Karl has left.   It's gonna be a Rondo/Bradley lead team and a rebuilding effort so they may as well get the guy that takes on point guard lead rebuilding efforts in Byron Scott.

I've always liked Steve Blake.

^ last stand. Read some of his posts in here.

He may be a tad, but he's still one of the best coaches in this league. Outside of Pop, Thibs, & Vogle, name me coaches you think are on the same level or better.

I said he's a good coach, but he's not someone to hide a teams flaws and the clippers proved to be flawed after looking talented

Mainly the lack of growth from Griffin and jordan

I know the deal was legal, but see, it's just another loophole.  They essentially traded a pick for a coach.  Compensation, in the form of money, would have made sense here...but not a draft pick, and it surprises me that the league hasn't locked that up with their new CBA.

Basically, the idea is that a draft pick is money (first rounder) or non-guaranteed money (second rounder) until the player is actually picked.  At that point, it's a player.  Doesn't make sense, to me, because no matter what happens, 1-60 will be players...and you're trading for one when you deal a pick before the draft.

It truly is ignorant.

This is the significant part:

RT @KBergCBS: Doc Rivers' compensation agreement states that Celtics and Clippers can't exchange players until the end of the '13-'14 season, source says.

So as long as Garnett and Pierce are Celtics they can't be Clippers?

Like has been said if Pierce is waived he could wind up there.

But I think Garnett was what would have sweetened the deal with Boston because he is such an upgrade from Deandre Jordan it's not funny

No but Kevin Garnett can be on the floor the last five minutes of a game.

Good, do that.

That leaves only Nate and strengthens the chance of getting a new guy on the staff not previously with D'antoni.  Potentially a fired coach.

Wishful thinking but if Gentry goes elsewhere there won't be many other alternative.
