Doc+Rivers-+Red+Auerbach.jpg

Two executives said the first thing Ainge would want is young players such as Clippers center DeAndre Jordan and Eric Bledsoe, and an expiring contract such as Caron Butler’s $8-million deal. Then Ainge would want to trade a veteran player such as 37-year-old Kevin Garnett (he has a no-trade clause) and add guards Courtney Lee and Jason Terry in the deal to the Clippers. Ainge also would want two first-round draft picks from the Clippers, the executives said

There's a rising belief around the NBA that Doc, KG & Pierce all want to carry on as a trio in Clipperland if they can't roll on in Boston

Cash and draft considerations in exchange for Doc? Separate trades for Garnett and Pierce without surrendering Blake Griffin? All do-able

Let's not forget now that this rumor is coming back to the front burner everyone seems to forget that Stephen A Smith is the one that reported this back more than a month ago now

Listen: I said what's being talked about, scenarios that are being contemplated. Can't rule anything out W/ Clips/Celts. Absolutely nothing!

If that happens, they'd be an instant serious contender in the west. Bad news for Lakerland.

Huh?    Piere and Garnett on the run and gun Clippers and losing Bledsoe for Jason Terry....and In the West.. asked to play defense?  Blake Griffin having to try to learn a slower pace and complete game?

Oh I hope the Clippers do that   I will laugh for days.

Doc can coach them though

Doesn't phase me as a Laker fan.

Pierce  Terry and Garnet are deminishing and in my opinion this is to big of a blockbuster to happen.

Why would the Celtics have both Eric Bledsoe and Rondo???

In my opinion, a Pau Gasol trade to the Celtics would happen before Garnet in Pierce go to LA.

Yea Doc is legitemate winning coach that can squeeze wins from aged and inexperienced players likewise. If Clips can manage to keep Griffin and Paul. I honestly don't at all think DeAndre Jordan will ever become moer than an exaggerated high light reel, KG in his old age bring more passion and and better defense, plus you'd hope he would have a positive impact on Griffin. Bledsoe was gonna leave anyways and under no sircumstance should BUtler be considered a make or break piece in this move. Paul is great in transition but he is very good in half court and pick  and roll, Rivers can make this work.

The thing is I actually think Pierce has very little in the tank, he can have his moments like any great player but run an entire season, KG can do it with resting periods, but at times Pierce really looked sluggish after rest, he wouldn't come off the bench.

Celtics need to rebuild and Clips need a real coach, plus they get veterans which have won alot, something that is very inderrated in the NBA come playoffs.

If Celtics and Clippers can finalize a deal that includes Doc Rivers, Kevin Garnett will waive his no-trade clause, league sources tell Y!

Me personally I think this deal has to be getting close to done as details are surely but slowly coming on what Celtics want and now news of KG willing to waive his no trade clause

Good job on the updated thread title magicbalala245. Too often, most posters don't do that. It's disappointing.

Final major hurdle to a Doc-KG-Clippers deal, league sources tell Y! Sports: Boston GM Danny Ainge's desire for Eric Bledsoe to be in trade.

Pierce has been in and out of these trade discussions

Pierce can still be bought out or traded later, so he's been in an out of discussions, source said.

Look for this deal to come together next week unless things suddenly fall apart IMO

If something comes together with Clippers and Celtics, it will likely happen by the middle of this week at the latest.
