Art? Standards for quality must have taken a nosedive. Experimenting with different genres and making strange tracks doesn't make it good, there still needs to be substance and quality behind it. Aside from a few tracks, Yeezus had neither. This wasn't even the best "sound of the future" type album of the year either, Daft Punk blew him out of the water. Why? Because they stuck to what they wanted to do and presented a clear, thoughtful album while Yeezus, in comparison, is all over the place.

I didn't like 808s but I respected Kanye experimenting with auto-tune because he stuck with it. On Yeezus, he mixes up all these different styles from track to track (even within tracks) that just don't fit at all. Taken single by single it probably wouldn't be as bad (though none of these singles stand out on his catalog of songs), but as an album? Horrible.

No anger towards "art", just extreme disappointment because I was looking forward to this album.

One of his songs from the new album ("Black Skinhead") and most people's favorite is featured in the new Martin Scorsese & Leonardo DiCaprio "The Wolf of Wall Street" trailer:

He as a person has changed drastically. It makes you wonder was it his mom that was keeping him in line, or was it her death that just made him change as a person. Either way a mother's death is a thing that will really change a person.

I like a few of the songs on there. They are all a little bit darker and stuff then normal rap. You really have to be able to deal with the production on this thing to get into it to enjoy it.

I would give it a listen, I know some people that love it and some people dont like it. Just listen to it once and see what you think, I actually like quite a few songs on it.

I really like the album - am a huge fan of 808's so i'm all for him experimenting on his production and such and the return of autotune on some tracks juxtaposes the harshness of the beats. His lyrics aren't really relatable on some tunes due to him being so overly rich but he still delivers some poignant and powerful lines here and there.

Mind you the direction of the production, with harsh beats has been happening for quite a while, with groups like Death Grips doing it at a far higher calibre.

This album is a piece of [expletive]. Only 3-4 half-decent tracks, but all that experimentation and auto-tune made this one giant piece of garbage. Blood on the Leaves could have been one of Kanye's best tracks if he stayed away from auto-tune.

I hate how magazine reviews and stuff are giving this such praise for being "edgy" and "pushing the boundaries" while ignoring the fact that this isn't an album at all. It's just Kanye experimenting with a bunch of crap and slapping it onto one album. Horrible.

You hate the fact that you're opinion is being presented as just that, you're opinion?

You want everybody else to think the album is garbage just because you do?
