Love him, like him, or hate him he makes a lot of great points. I admire him for at least trying to "push the envelope" a bit in desperate hopes of trying to improve the shows & making them grow, but unfortunately not only are the suits with power over at ESPN holding him and the show back too often, but also Magic. A lot of people are unhappy with Magic on the show and I can't say I blame them.

Two different stories, two different links. Remember he was suspended earlier already for talking bad about ESPN's "First Take" program and how ridiculous it is sometimes.

Wow, SportsCenter edited my joke out about Wade going to Germany before Game 4 - I should have just ripped people to shreds like SAS did.

The rigidity of studio TV is really discouraging. Let's just say that A LOT makes sense after these past 8 months.

“I’d like to see us take more chances,” Simmons told Sports Illustrated’s Richard Deitsch in early June. “I never wanted to do a traditional studio show and I never wanted us to feel like every other ESPN studio show.

I agree with the notion that ESPN is so enamored with Lebron, even when he loses by simply playing bad, most of the 'analysists' (who are retired players with no real journalistic or impartiality) still say he is either over criticized, bad teammates, just one bad game, and whatever else people like Wilbon, Wiley, Jackson, Legler, Smith, and frankyl whoever else. But if he were to get a triple double or something which is impressive no doubt, its hooray all over the place.

While I am not sure of the Simmons context, he makes a great point. When Spurs win, its all about Miami, if Spurs blowout MIami, its about whats wrong with Miami (especially Lebron), if MIami blows out Spurs well no suprise. It is frustrating, I don't remember EPSN from the 90's so maybe it was the same for Jordan, but I'd like to think those scenarios would be warranted because well Jordan was already an undisputed great.

Nah yo daddy do

consider this a formal warning

when a mod says stop something, stop it...if you didn't read his post, bad excuse, you should have

general info for everyone - if a mod posts something during any kind of argument you're participating in...read it, especially if you're posting stuff that could be inappropriate...if you can't tell the difference between ppropriate and inappropriate, on-topic or off-topic, then thats ok too...but don't be alarmed if you end up suspended or banned.  i'm not saying everyone should read everything the mods post or they might get banned, hey, if you follow the rules, feel free to ignore us...its all common sense really

I don't think he meant it that way. Magic talked about taking repeated injections to his injured groin so he could play and that is clearly not good for your groin so he could of just said it without thinking of his HIV
