Correct me if I'm wrong, but once Blake was healthy and D'Antoni decided to stop pushing his nonsense "system" on the team, the guy was one of the better back-up PGs in the NBA.

With Nash's health and D'Antoni's complete inability to manage minutes, why wouldn't the Lakers want to run with three PGs?

Not only that but Blake outplayed Meeks at the bench 2 and seemed the more consistent as well as the better defender.  This shocked me.   Only thing Meeks has on Blake is athleticism and youth but ultimately it meant very little as he couldn't take advantage of it half the time.  So getting Will Bynum while waiving Duhon and not picking up Meeks option seems like a good move I think.   Depends how much Bynum wants as you said earlier.

How much is he going to ask for?

Probably a little more than we'd hope for since our lovely state takes away so much of our money.

Although seeing the Knicks on the list of teams also interested makes me feel they'll offer him more money especially after losing Jason.

Then again Will Bynum alone won't get the Knicks to the level they want to be in and they are losing Carmelo in 2014 if they don't advance beyond the second round again.  So we'll see.

Personally, I'd get Nate Robinson, dude keeps making vets min, so, even with the Mini MLE I'm sure he'll  take that

I'm thinking that too.  They have Meeks on a team option for a reason I guess.

I would NOT get rid of Meeks.

Meeks should be on this team, unless we are thinking of getting another shooter.

But I think I have asked for Will Bynum for the past 2-3 years.

Should be less than our MLE, AND we have two of the same type of pGs, i would love a faster, more attacking one, but he is a luxury, until our SF situation is taken care of

I think this could be a big help to our bench.

Meeks brings nothing. He's not a 3 point specialist at all. The guy gets hot once in a while but goes on long periods of cold streaks which kills s. Better players out there than him.

He can come back once he knows how to make a lay up. Consistently.

You must mean that passionately with the caps lock emphasis on NOT. I'm really not sure what makes you that high on him. I question whether you watched all the games last season.

He can come back once he knows that he is NOT a driver and a shot creator. He needs to realize that he is a CATCH AND SHOOT player.

He can come back once he learns how to actually create his own shot. Maybe Goudelock can give him lessons.

I know now that people can only seen what they have seen.

Firstly, no one was put in the proper position to succeed when your STARS aren't healthy.

I think you guys don't get what a STAR DRIVEN team looks like when a STAR is injured.

Go back top the Shaq-Kobe Lakers who would become average whenever Shaq or Kobe was injured.

Derek Fisher and Fox and Horry become USELESS(more or less) when they aren't getting WIDE open shots.

Meeks is a guy who they don't leave WIDE open and if they do, he is someone I rust taking that shot.

He shoots a ton, but he has defensive value, and is a "energy" guy, which is a real phenomena in basketball. SO

for his PRICE tag, I don't see who's better.

I know guys like Garcia and Webster , but you ADD those and subtract EBanks and Duhon. You don't get rid of Meeks, who might just have a reduced role.

Actually they did quite a lot and he rarely converted. I think I'd know. I saw all the games. No joke.
