Another reason Bosh should be considered (if he opts out) is if we land Noah Vonleh.

Like is mentioned in another thread; some GMs think Vonleh is a clear top tier draft pick - along with Wiggins, Parker and Embiid - and if we landed someone like him, i think for him to reach his potential he'd need the right mentor. Bosh could be that guy and being about the same size and both capable to play the 4 and 5 and with both bigs being able to shoot 3s i think they'd work well together.

Also, Bosh's price tag, i assume, isn't necessarily in the 20M+ range, which would suggest that we could add another B-level player, such as Lance Stephenson or Kyle Lowry.

I'd take Wade on a Karl Malone contract, but nothing else.

If Wade is looking for the type of deal he is accustomed too, or the "Kobe Contract" as Lebron took it, NO WAY! In fact, I wouldn't want Wade in L.A. His knees are done, he can't/doesn't play defense and (to me) it seems like he is more caught up in the "lifestyle."

As for Bosh, I would pass as well. The comments he made recently about this season "not being fun and feeling like work" and "glad the season is over with" turned me off even more when it comes to him. If fans called Pau "soft" then they REALLY need to watch Bosh more closely, he makes Gasol look like Shaq in 93'.

I would pass on both.

I think Wade is done and i dont want to pay him anywhere near what he's getting now in Miami.

Wade should opt in, that's his "Kobe d eal' as it turns out

Bosh might think a 4 year 60 million dollar deal is worth it.

Thats basically what I can offer him.

Melo could get 4 years 70

Oh and don't stretch Nash

Have space to improve next year

I would take old Dirk, if we could get him at 2 years / 30 million.

That way you have Nash's 10 off the books in 2015.
And Kobe/ Dirk 's 40 million off in KD's year

Kelly, Baz aren't locks to be back and regardless of what we do could probably be brought back on min. deals. Also, the rookie deal IS included in those scenarios and we can still use the 2.7M room exception.

Kobe: 23.5M, Sacre: 915k, rookie: 2.5M, Nash stretch: 3.3, 9 x 500k min cap hold: 4.5M = 34.7M

Cap is 63.2M - 34.7M = 28.5M + the room exception at 2.7M is just about 31.1M.

kinda silly to debate over 3mil ; but Eric Pincus for the LA times and Basketball insiders is a cap expert , and we will have 28mil to spend.

Kobe and Randle led Lakers lead the team to a 32-50 record. the Lakers select Myles Turner with the 5th pick.

Sure, why not. But do we really think the Heat's big 3 are disbanding so quickly? I highly doubt it.

Bosh would be a lot better than Pau in every conceivable way, but he wants too much money.

I think Bosh at 4yrs/60M is a good deal. He prefers to stay in Miami, though but if LBJ leaves, so will he, probably.

Smart - Kobe - Ariza (8) - Bosh (15) - Okafor (5). That's a solid team!

Bosh has absolutely ZERO reason to opt out of his guaranteed 20m to reach a deal with the Lakers. He has another ETA next year, as do Wade and LeBron. They didn't seem too upset about losing in the finals together, I don't see them splitting up just yet, unless of course Riles calls it quits on the big 3 and trades Bosh or Wade.

That's true and he wont find 2yrs/42M elsewhere. But the Heat just lost and they have limited options with regards to getting another asset to Miami and with the way Wade looked, i think breaking up the big 3 is clearly on the table.

Personally, i think they'll try to make another run next season but if they do decide to part ways, i think Bosh would consider going to LA. Opting out just to sign a longer deal wouldn't be all that bad of an idea economically.

you would take Dirk for what? to sit in corner for 2quarters picking his as? hit a couple jumpers here & there & play 0 defense for 15 mili? Hell no :smh:

We wish we had Bosh. Even at his high salary he has proven he can stretch defenses with his three shooting, he's a good defender and he a legit scoring option. He Brings size and Athleticism and fills a lot of holes on both sides of the ball. This is where Kobe's Deal hurts the Lakers ability to get back on track quickly.

Hopefully Nash goes medical retirement next season so we can get somebody who can actually help the team.

I'd love to see that youngster McCallum  in a Laker uniform. Kid has a ton of potential and certainly far and away better than any of the garbage we have at point guard.

The money he saves in taxes alone makes it a stupid move to come to L.A.

I don't know what Portlands plans are with CJ McCollum. He has shown glimpses of value but really didn't get enough playing time with such a talented roster filled with guards.

If he's being shopped the Lakers should definitely put him into consideration. But I think he's more or a SG than PG.
