I went in with the highest of expectations and I was not disappointed at all. I left the theater wanting to see it again. And with a giant crush for Tauriel....so so hot.

This movie is much faster paced than the LOTRs trilogy and the 1st Hobbit. Its like Peter Jackson put Hobbit 2 on steroids.

the actor didn't like it either, she begged before signing for the movie to not be stuck in a love triangle.

Way to ruin a good movie with useless stuff.
That wasn't necessary ahhhhh

And yaaa I agree the love story of the dwarf and the elf babe was awkward and unnecessary. It was making me anxious actually, because they kept cutting out of the action seens to include that story

Saw it last night,  what a great movie.....  They put so much into it,  just awesome.  The bear was always my favorite part of the story,  and they didn't disappoint.  It did look very video gamey sometimes but I didn't mind it at all,  the things they can do in movies nowadays is pretty remarkable.  Plus Smaug was a total badass,  the first time in movie history for a dragon to look that good.

My only consolation is that both of the pretty dwarves will die in the third film
I hope they show us a great glorfindel

Watched it last night.

Nice movie. I think the LOTR trilogy is much better because it's based on three books. The Hobbit is one book so they have to "procrastinate" a bit. Nonetheless, I love how they made Smaug look like a total badass.

There's gold and it's haunting and haunting; it's luring me on as of old; Yet it isn't the gold that I'm wanting So much as just finding the gold; It's the great, big, broad land 'way up yonder, It's the forest where silence has lease; It's the beauty that thrills me with wonder, It's the stillness that fills me with peace.
