I don't hate him, I just don't think he's a good basketball player lol. I hate on Blake Griffin, Dwyane Wade, Westbrook, guys like that who actually have talent. The only sub-par player I hate is Shane Battier.

Hopefully all this practice pays off, we could really use his size out there defensively.

Good for him.

The kid has no business in the NBA but I'm sure somewhere in China a coach will appreciate his hard work.

What is worrisome is that MDA might actually like it and use Morris as a real option.

We'll see how far his hard work and determination gets him.   His defense is unrefined but he has good flashes, it's better than Ebanks' defense that's for sure and he was one of the only pgs I actually saw that could guard Lilliard.  He just needs to learn how to deal with point guards that try to overpower him and not get fouls called.   Paul, Williams and Parker are good at that and had him foul when he matched up with them.

Good length and speed for defense on certain PGs and Sgs, good decoy on fast break, below average finisher and shooter, can handle ball somewhat and a decent passer-taht was my assessment of his game last season.

If he improved strength and shooting, he would move into a good role for us.

I would love someone like Morris to start off next season as 3rd string PG, 3rd string Sg and work his way up to a 20+ minute player for us, giving all our old back court members a rest here and there

I think at "best" I'd like to see Morris become someone like that.

I want to say I'd like to see him become someone like a poor man's Delonte West at best but he's not as good at scoring for himself and would be relegated to being off ball instead of creating for himself so I don't see that happening.

One would hope those lessons with Nash make him a better player, and if Metta is still there next year that he improves his defense learning from him.  And of course Kobe as well.  All the tools are there for him to become the best player he can possibly be as long as he takes advantage and he seems willing to so that's always a good sign.   We'll see what he can do in pre-season and summer league.   With his advancement he made during the season he "should" be our best player in Summer League.  We shall see.

I like Mo, simply because he seems like he's a good guy, has his head on straight, and has a good work ethic.

What you'd like to see is the end of his sloppy and bonehead-like play. This is his 3rd year, I'd like to think he can figure it out and be a solid contributing bench player, but I'm done holding out hope. He's had some golden opportunities in the past and he didn't take advantage of them. Prove us wrong, Darius.

To me, he's taken advantage of some opportunities, but not as much as we'd like see. One night he'd shut down Lilliard, the other he'd make jeremy lin look like a scrub and then the next night he can't hit a shot or defend properly. I just ultimately want to see consistency from him. Consistency and understanding when he shouldn't be dribbling. He shows flashes but id like to see those flashes 4 out of every 5 games instead of once or twice.

He doesn't always make a good pass but when he does it's to an opponent player.

That was funny.

But I saw a pic on Instagram from the Laker Feed that had him making 500 3s TODAY in just under an hour.

He works hard and if he could hit the wide open three, add weight to finish a bit better and just shake some of the young man jitters, he has SOME potential.

Plus the Lakers need a SF with their mini-MLE so, I don't want them to settle for a below average PG who ends up not playing.

Is he working out his mental game?

One would hope so, but that can only be helped through practice and through experience, decision making I'd say is where he needs to work the most at.  He sure works hard enough to try to get to it.

Interview with Morris on why Kobe made him his protege.
