The Los Angeles Lakers went through one of their most trying injury seasons in their history this season, with all five starters and multiple role players missing significant time due to injuries.

While most are focused on the recovery of Kobe Bryant from his torn Achilles, Pau Gasol is also recovering from a knee procedure to help treat tendinitis in both of his knees. Today, Gasol let people know that he is making progress in that recovery via Twitter:

Couple that with the news that Bryant is set to get his walking boot removed today, and this is turning out to be the best day Laker fans have experienced since the last day of the regular season

@paugasol

Today it's been 3 weeks since the procedure done to knees. I'm finally off the crutches!! #lookingahead

Good news

It's like this past season just broke our starting 5 haha. I hope they all recover well and rejuvenate over the summer. No summer games for anyone to worry about this year.

it really puts things in perspective when we hear about two of our four main starters injury situation on the same day.  And Nash posted up a twitter about rehabbing yesterday and recovering healthily.

Hey Kobe is out of his boot and training, and Pau is off his crutches today!! Yippee!
