With her size and ability to dunk it almost feels like it must have felt when Wilt came to the NBA and in the womens game especially learning from Kareem if she stays healthy and humble, she could go down as one of the greatest.   The way she dunks it so easily in the half court is already an advantage.

That second dunk she does was...wow lol

Had a rough start but finished with  17/8 with 4 blocks and only picked up one more foul after three quick ones early.

P.S. the picture on the video is priceless lol

Nope, there just wasn't many that can do it.

But that pick and roll to pass to Griner for the dunk... that right there was a different era of change in Womens Basketball.

Never never would I have seen that before, she can dunk in the halfcourt set with ease off pick and rolls.  That wowed me.

If the Mercury turn out to be a very winning team, they could probably bring a large crowd, the crowd they brought just for her debut was impressive for a WNBA game.

If Sportscenter hypes up a Griner vs Parker sort of thing when the Mercury play the Sparks and it lives up to the hype it could breath new life into that organization.

It just needs those kind of stars to market and really make you watch it.

If they can get the right hype train behind it they'll survive.   That organization needs a "Magic vs Bird".  If Marketing is smart they'll do all they can to push Griner vs Parker and hype the heck out of it and hope the matchup lives up to the hype.   Could make or break the WNBA imo.  Phoenix and LA already have bad blood.  So if Marketing is smart, they run with it.

A lot has to happen, like both Phoenix and LA being winning teams and their matchups living up to the hype, but if the stars align right it "could" save that organization.

That Elena Delle Donne is awesome.

Skylar Diggins still struggling mightily, but it's okay, she can always go to modeling or something if this ultimately doesn't work out. Still early of course though.

Candace Parker dropped 27 & 20 yesterday for L.A. Not bad at all.
