That's nice and everything but regardless he will be a restricted free agent which means Indiana can match.

Or even if that weren't the case, you know Sir David Stern could always just come in if & so he pleases & find a justification of screwing us over once more for those lovely basketball reasons.

^ You mean he won't be by then. My bad though, I had forgotten. Let's all hope & pray his buddy Adam Silver is dramatically different. Although considering they are buddies, I'm seriously concerned there might not be much change.

He could.

I'm sure the Pacers would love our assets.

in 2014 I'm not sure we'd have any assets aside from Steve Nash and Dwight Howard =p

That said, let's say we didn't offer him a max in 2014, and he didn't sign an extension with the Pacers as above, he'd be a UFA in 2015 yeah?

Paul George for Pau. NBA forced trade on Pacers because of Basketball Reasons.  "It's only fair because they should have CP3" new NBA commissioner Adam Silver said. NBA Execs outraged.

If LeBron lost these Finals the chances of him leaving would've been very large.  But now that he has pulled it out I don't see him ever leaving Miami, unless they just outright botch everything.  And with Riley at the helm, they won't.

So if you have to go after Paul George do it.  You still make a run at LeBron, but the chances of getting him are next to nothing now.

This is now Lebron's league. Building around this guy in Miami over the next five years is going to be pretty easy.

I put the chances of him leaving Miami now at less than 5%. They may not win it next year, but they should re-tool nicely in 2014 and remain a juggernaut for most of the latter half of the decade.

WRONG! They barely won this year.

LBJ, Bosh and Wade are signed until the summer of 2014, which takes up ALL their cap space and flexibility. Miller and Haslem are on contracts until 2015 as well. This means no flexibility whatsoever. Only the mini-midlevel and no possibilty of receiving players in s/t, among other things.

Wade looks old and Bosh as their only big, wont work against the Pacers again. Their best bet is probably to move both of them now, but they would never do that.

Next year, the Bulls, Pacers, Nets, Clippers, OKC, GS and hopefully the Lakers will be a lot better.

Pay attention. I said they might not win it next year, but can retool in 2014.

They can and will. Doubt them at your own peril. Lebron is the best and is on his way to 5-6 championship career.

i dont think you realize how hard it is to get back to finals year after year. 5-6 titles means they gonna win 3/5 at least . They aint getting to the finals that many times consecutively no way in hell. @ UKUGA

Lol why are you discussing Lebron like he's about to be 36? Barring any injury dude is gonna be dominating for at least the next 4-5 seasons.  Getting 3 years of dominance out of him is more than anything you will get out of Paul George.

Paul George game is nothing like Kobe's.  The only thing they have in common are the same jersey number and the fact that he idolized Kober growing up.  Other than that there are very little similarities in their games.  Plus at 22 Kobe was a top 7 or so player in the game no question.

There's a chance that we could sign him unless they won a championship ring.

I would rather sign Paul George than Lebron James and Kyrie Irving cause Kyrie irving is an injury prone player and we don't like that kind of player especially for a team like Lakers who's always a championship caliber and for lebron james he's not getting younger anymore plus seeing him going to the lakers was a big disgrace in his part and I hate bandwagon fans.

I like Paul George cause he reminds me of younger Kobe Bryant and I'm gonna miss every [expletive] of Kobe Bryant when he retire.

He already has 2 rings. He is the best player in the league. He's young. He plays in an attractive market. He's in the weaker conference. He's going to have plenty more shots at a ring.

Have fun doubting him.

People are under the impression that it will be Wade/Bosh/LeBron for the next 5 years.

It won't be.

You get rid of Wade and Bosh, then bring in new players, you're in good shape to continue contending with LeBron.

I still think he returns to Cleveland though.

Its not about just doubting him. I doubt the likely hood of any team no matter how talented to get to the Finals 6/8 seasons. legs & injuries will occur & teams will get better even in the pathetic EC.

I doubt Riley will do that to Wade. In the End I think those 2 remain together & just build around them.
