1927, masterpiece, the biggest bugget movie in history, the world first dystopian film...

A movie so far ahead of its time, that it was only shown in its complete entirety ONCE, and no known copy of the original film still exists!!!

I am of course, talking about Metropolis!

The 2 hour + sielent black and white movie, made at the height of the Wiemer republic...

The movie was a half century ahead of its time, and that's being conservative...

The movie is a techonogical wonder, with ADVANCED special effects...

It is RISKEY!, including women in very see thru clothes... (UNHEARD OF IN THE 1920's!!!!!)

Its a timecapsule of the past, the apex of a sick society...

A director saw where his nation was going, and had the fear...

Its really hard to sit thru a 2 hour plus sielent movie that's almost 100 years old... ( think wizard of OZ came out around same time, which was in color, and full audio..)

Its hard to imagine a world before skyscrapers... an urban world... back in the 1920's

and now, its hard to imagine what the world was like in the 1920's, and realize the images on the world, were undoubtabtly the future which was still very far off...

This is widely considered one of the best movies IN HISTORY!!!!

The dawn of science fiction, the dawn of the dystopisan movies...

And keep in mind, WHEN, and WHERE it was made... and the horrors which would follow...

I am ashamed of myself I have not seen this masterpiece in its entirety yet
