Wonder who they'll pick up. It's not like they can upgrade from VDN to Thibs like Chicago. I just hope it's not another ex-Laker.

I should clarify: Del Negro wasn't fired as coach. He was informed that he won't be offered a new contract to return. His deal has expired.

So if a 4 seed that nearly won 60 games can fire their head coach, surely some other team can fire their head coach for only grabbing the 7 seed and only winning 45 games...right? Right?? RIGHT???

Awww well that's an awfully kind way to put it. Almost the same thing in a sense really though, lol.

^ Stockton & Malone = CP3 & Griffin, although it'd take a lot obviously to try & form Griffin at least somewhat closer to Malone. He'd have to especially consistently knock down that mid-range jumper for the typical pick & rolls that were bread & butter for Johnny & Karl.

I wondered if CP3 have anything to do with this firing.   I'm sure Lakers fans are hoping D12 will be doing the same thing.

MDA is an offensive genius. I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps doing what he does best: Run and Gun. That's the only way to coach.

Tell me you being sarcastic.  Did you see what Vinny Del "Black" did during the elimination game?  He let his third best scorer sit on the bench for the rest of 4th quarter.  A good coach will never do that. It's not like Crawford was struggling with his shots.  For some strange reason Mr Negro had a vendetta or something against Crawford and won't allow him to play anymore.  How can you let the only guy who can give you 20+ points sit for that long?  Please tell me you being sarcastic.  Del Negro is not a good coach and is NOT the perfect coach for the Clippers.

However, as a clipper hater like I was hoping they keep Del Negro so CP3 can go elsewhere and the Clips suck forever.

That's a gross comparison. You cannot compare anyone to Karl and John.

Among the biggest reasons the Clippers let Vinny Del Negro go today, sources say: Chris Paul was not a fan.

Agreed.  That is like a slap to one of the best one two combo in the league.  In fact, I believe there only been three best one two combo in the history of the NBA and that's  Michael and Scottie,  Shaq and Kobe, and Karl and John.

Blake Griffen is so over rated.
