Thunder Aren't Considering Amnesty Clause On PerkinsMay 18, 2013 2:39 PM EDT
The Oklahoma City Thunder are not considering using the amnesty clause on Kendrick Perkins.
"We just haven't considered using the provision. ... We think Perk has a lot of value to our team," Sam Presti said Saturday.
Perkins is set to make about $18 million over the next two seasons.

How about Cody Zeller?
Feels like they'd look for a big man that's more intimidating on the defensive end, especially since Westbrook will be back. He'd still be considered, though, I'm sure...but Zeller would rather provide a team with buckets, and I think the idea is to have two defenders up front, Durant and Westbrook dominating the ball, and a shooter at the two-guard position.

Why does shaq hate on him so much?
It goes back to a beef that started on twitter when Perkins sorta took shots at Shaq saying how he talks too much about himself and wants the attention so Shaq (not surprisingly knowing how sensitive he is) fired back basically saying who is he to talk, doesn't do crap on the court, to call him back when he can do 20 & 10 or something of the like.

Still living off that Celtics hype he created during his tenure there, but to be honest he was going up against Pau and I think Mbenga (loved that guy lol).
Even if he is offensively handicapped, if his defense was even decent in todays' limping big man league then maybe, But 18 million is way too much for Perkins.
