Nets selected Kerry Kittles, a SG, at number 7 or 8... they needed a SG, and they choose the one that played 4 years of college...lots of good players drafted that year...

Also, I never believed Sebastian Telfair would do much of anything.  I was never a fan of Stephon Marbury, and that's what turned me away from him instantly.  Of course, I know we're talking hype, but they put him on a pedestal because he was coming out of Brooklyn AND he was Marbury's cousin (how funny).

Plus, 12 teams didn't believe in the hype, either.  With Kobe, I think he slipped so far because he just wanted to play for the Lakers, and he limited workouts.  Otherwise, he would have went sooner, and all hype was around Allen Iverson that year.

I copped his jersey and got his rookie jersey lol. But anyway Wiggins seems like the real deal. Just wish he went to UNC.

Me too only cause I'm partial to UNC and In my heart I imagine Dean Smith still being there coaching ;) and figuring he would have been a great coach for him back in the day, especially considering the job he did with MJ as well.

And that UNC Duke Rivalry would have been awesome.

The number 1 vs the number 2 ranked players in the world playing at the same position in the UNC vs Duke game?

The ratings alone...

But it's all good either way :)

Andrew Wiggins looks so legit. Awesome strength and agility for a guy his age. Next years draft is gonna be deep

He looks okay.

Eeeeh... I'm not sure if I'd call Wiggins the better pure scorer than Parker

He'll likely have a higher FG%, and more ways to score.  Parker will be shooting a lot more jumpers than Wiggins, once he gets to the pros.

Very true.

Parker will be the deadly shooter, while Wiggins will be the guy getting to the rim with his moves and taking high percentage shots.

That doesnt mean that. Who is the better scorer Durant or Lebron?

Honestly, I'd say LeBron...because he's the one with the post game now, and he has the same amount of range as Durant, plus the ability to finish at the rim better.  He has more ways to score.

LeBron is just more passive, but I can't say he's less of a scorer than Durant.

Still don't think so.

When it comes to LeBron vs Durant then LeBron has a post game etc.

But when you look at Wiggins vs Parker

at the current moment Parker has a more complete offensive game, is a more efficient scorer in more ways and has a post game.

Wiggins has the athleticism to get a high percentage shot at the rim but when he's forced away from the paint his jump shot is not reliable.  He also has yet to develop a post game as good as Parker's.

So while Wiggins has the athleticism to get to the basket for high percentage shots, Wiggins has more ways with which he can efficiently score and can rely on his jump shot when he can't get to the basket, Wiggins has to get to that level of reliability with his jump shot.

There's no question that if Wiggins fixes those aspects of his game he'll be a better scorer than Parker.

But as it stands right now, Parker can just score in more ways while Wiggins can easily get high percentage shots at the rim, Parker can score from anywhere on the court with reliability, not just at the basket or paint.

So as of right now Parker is the more complete offensive player imo.

Would have to disagree. I would take Melo and Durants scoring ability over Lebron any day of the week.

To me Kobe & Melo both have more moves overall in their arsenal than LeBron, they just happen to shoot a lower percentage obviously cause LeBron's able to get to the basket so much more easily on a consistent basis with that freak body of his, strength, & athleticism. He can just literally force it a lot of the time and still score. He doesn't usually put out of this world skill per say into it, just mostly natural strength like a man playing with boys.

This. I mean Lebron is great at what he does, but when you compare his mid range game his three shot and even his post moves he is out classed by other players in those regaurds.

why not? The person with more moves and a higher FG% is the better scorer.

When they went head to head in the finals just over a year ago Lebron avged 29 points on 47% from the field and a terrible 19% from three. Durant on the other hand avged 31 on 55% from the field and 40% from 3. Also MIA was the better defensive and overall team.

Scoring wise like I said I would take Durant any day of the week. It has taken lebron 10 years in the pros to be able to hit down wide open jumpers with any type of consistency (pointing to game 7 of the finals, even though the majority of the series he was missing those type of shots) Durant on the other hand is 24 and for 4 straight years has been the scoring champion and other than being able to bully past people his offensive game has a bigger array of skills then lebrons.

^ Exactly. What the Spurs did against LeBron in large portions throught the series basically daring him to shoot with all that space and LeBron missing often or at times even being scared to take it, I seriously doubt you'd ever see something like that with Kobe or even Melo or Durant.
