Phil Jackson wants to see if the Sacramento Kings are sold to the Seattle consortium before deciding where to work next season.

Jackson has expressed an interest in a front office role similar to Pat Riley’s situation with the Miami Heat.

Jackson has "hit it off" with Chris Hansen, who leads the Seattle group attempting to buy the Kings.

Why would Phil join a team that has no championship potential

He's got enough rings for 2 liftimes. Maybe he's tired of big market expectations but still wants to be involved with basketball.

Maybe because he knows a team with championship potential won't give him the control or demands he wants?

Phil doesn't care about winning rings on a bench more than he wants POWER and financial longevity at this point in his life.

He's been saying it for years, hopefully it starts finally sinking in to those that think he'd rather coach with 'some' control than own with ALL control.

My thoughts exactly, at least, based upon what "Phil Jackson wants."

Phil would rather coach the Lakers than be part of the Kings franchise. No doubt about it.

Buss is too stubborn and hired 2 coaches that failed instead.
