Gonna see it this week in 3D at the IMAX. I hope it's worth it, I love space themed films.

Thanks for the reassurance. I actually wouldn't have even really heard of this movie until after it was out of theaters if you didn't make this thread. I rarely go see a movie in theaters unless the word of mouth reaches me.

Great movie
I loved this flick
The shots of the earth were beautiful
And the atmospheric reentry was amazing, anyone knows that song?

Big Cuarón fan as well. Y Tu Mama Tambien and Children Of Men are among my all time faves for sure.

I think I'm gonna go watch this tonight.

Did you watch it in IMAX 3D?

Y Tu Mama Tambien

Movie was okay, but I could've done without some of those Hibbert-ish scenes.

Saw this in IMAX 3D last weekend and was blown away.  Best visual movie going experience I've ever had minus Avatar.

The story wasn't too deep but this movie didn't need it to be.  I see it winning plenty of awards come Oscar time for visual efx, sound editing, and directing...

I think it was brilliant. Great story and excellent acting. I didn't let those scenes(although it's mostly just that final scene that seemed to bother ppl) diminish my thoughts on the film.

Personally, it didn't really bother me.

^ I might appreciate it more if I watch it now that I'm older. I think the last time I saw it I was around my teens so I probably didn't full understand nor appreciate it as much as I could & should have. I did however have a crush on that Maribel Verdu chick at the time understandably so.

I saw it when I was like 13 or 14 and liked it but being so young and somewhat immature I was like "wtf, why are these 2 guys doing that, [expletive]in [expletive]" lol.

I've seen it multiple times though, and always appreciated the movie more every time I watched it after that initial viewing.

she has a weird face but something about her that's sexy tho.

NASA astronaut Michael Massimino weighs in on movie's accuracy, says he hopes it inspires a renewed interest in space.

As far as I know, all astronauts that have seen the movie have enjoyed it. More than one said that they wouldn't make another space walk lol

The shots, the music, the fear, hopelessness and the overcoming of such feelings.
All of that together
Cuaron created a beautiful piece of art, probably one of the best movies i ever saw
