Should have been him or Jackson.

Nuggets home record was incredible this season and by the end of the year when they were healthy no team in the west wanted to play them. You could argue that they were scarier than the Thunder.

Should of been Tom Tibidau or mark jackson.

MDA is an offensive genius. I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps doing what he does best: Run and Gun. That's the only way to coach.

Karl deserved it... didn't have any "stars" and had a remarkable record in a much tougher conference than the bulls have in a top heavy, but overall weak east.

not that I put much weight into this award... how many did P.J. win after all?

I disagree.  If that is the case than Lionel Hollins should win it.    Carl is great this year no doubt but  Tom Thibidou had to deal with no Rose all year and now in the playoffs had to deal with no Dang and Hinrich and still beat the best team in the league.  Carl never had to work with injured players except when Galinari went down later in the season.  And I think Igudala is a star. He was an all star for crying out loud. Obviously not the super star but a star.

Can't believe he had never won it in 25 years. That doesn't seem quite right.

If Chicago had snagged a top three seed, in the weaker East, Thibs would have gotten it.  He had Noah, Boozer, and Deng all season long (well, Noah missed 15-16 games).

At one point, it became about who was coaching the full game of basketball better.  Thibodeau struggles coaching offense.  Karl did both fairly well this year.  Bulls were 23rd, offensively, and 6th back on defense.  Nuggets were 5th on offense, 11th on defense.

Combined that with the 3rd seed in the West, and a 38-3 home record...it's pretty impressive.

Surprised Mark Jackson didn't win it.  Especially after beating George Karl.

Nuggets are always in playoffs, the Warriors hadn't been in the Playoffs in how long?

And they hadn't won a first round series since the Dallas upset.

Especially after trading Monta last year.

And having two rookies part of your main options along with Curry.

Don't know why Mark Jackson didn't win it after that first round win, prior I'd have said George Karl or Thibs.  But after Jackson beat Karl in the first round, I'm shocked he didn't win it.

Probably bittersweet for Karl.

that was why i thought they should've won it. that whole Bogut fiasco was crazy, but they somehow got past it with Festus Ezeli (i still find myself saying WHO?!?) at the 5.
