Doubt Rose will ever be the same again hes not ready and I doubt he ever will be. The inury will always be in the back of his head before every game.

So what happen to suiting up. I know he thinks this is smart just waiting till next season and all but if he doesn't come back with MVP type of play he will lose all the rep he gained in his first years. What he is doing is proably getting his teammate mad, fans mad, and everyone in the nba thinks he is scared.

There's a difference between being not as explosive and being a "bust"

This is the difference between Rose and the greats like Kobe.  Kobe would of played even if the doctor told him he was only 50%.

He won't play. If he didn't play in game 3,he for sure won't be playing in game 5. He'll have a full summer of more recovery and practice and be back at the start of the season.

Rose won't come back in Miami. He's just going to let his dismantled Bulls team get their asses handed to them, like he intended to a month or two ago, when he was cleared to play.

He's never going to be 100% emotionally ready to come back. Returning from an injury it's always going to be in the back of his head. The only way to be ready is suiting up and playing. 10-20 minutes a game until he's fully ready. Putting it off for another entire summer is only going to make it that much more difficult to come back. But hey, it's he's decision.

When he comes back next year stronger than ever all this will be forgotten :)    And people will remember why they miss his game and those criticizing him now will say "it was a good idea to take that year off instead of coming back too soon or thinking too much about it or screwing up his teams chemistry"

What if Kobe decided to take the entire next season off? How would the fanbase react?

That would be unlikely anyway since he's Kobe.

Depends if Kobe admitted he's not returning since his muscle memory isn't back fully yet.

That's the thing with Rose, he's been CLEARED.  It's been that way since March 9th.  At that point it's up to the individual and Rose decided that he wasn't comfortable returning due to his muscle memory.
