Assistant coaches Bernie Bickerstaff and Chuck Person have been told they won't be retained by the Lakers.

Looks like they might fill it up with MDA's guys

Mike D'Antoni, who wants smaller staff, has decided not to bring assistants Chuck Person and Bernie Bickerstaff back next season.

Hopefully they get a good candidate to step in as interim coach when D'Antoni gets fired next season.

Yet his useless brother stays.

Haha, there go our two best assistants.

Wouldn't be surprised if he brings in his sister and wife aboard the staff.

Chuck Person is probably our best defensive minded coach.

This is a bad sign. The fact that management is letting this happen means that MDA will return next season.

This is just absolutely pathetic. Our top two assistants - GONE

Yet his useless brother stays.

WTF we need Ham for? He doesn't provide [expletive] except for player development, which shouldn't even be in the same category as assistant coach!

I'm pissed cause when Rambis left Phils staff in 09 Person took over as the Defensive coordinator and did well!

[expletive]in dumb!

Since Chuck was brought into keep Metta in check, does that mean that it is safe to say, that the Lakers will amnesty Metta if he opts in?

He wants a smaller staff group because MDA desperately wants to be the alpha male there. Pitiful.

Of course we throw in the towel for next year. Next year won't be anything special at all. Management doesn't want to pick any new players up for any long-term contracts because of all the big time free agents available in 2014 like LEBRON. So you shouldn't be expecting anything great for next year.

And as for the assistants. I am very disappointed, especially for Person. Him and Dwight had a good relationship, did a lot of workouts together, this might make his decision even harder now to stay. Jesus.
