Just because you have Michael Jordan on your team, it does not in any way mean you have the best team. Sure Michael is the greatest ever but Basketball is and always will be a team game. Michael needs a side kick that he can trust on the court. He needs someone he can trust to set him up, minimize the carrying load, and help control the game.
I picked Isiah Thomas because I knew the two would make an extremely powerful combo who are able to feed off each other in terms of scoring, creating opportunities, and leading the way. He may have not posted the most efficient numbers, but he was known to get it done when it counted most.
Isiah was an extremely great shooter who spaced the floor really well. Despite his hieght and miniature size he was quiet the athlete. He was athletic and was speedy quick in way where he could rip between any two big men in the paint. But despite having a scoring mentality he was just as good as a playmaker. He managed to create plays and set up his teammates for scoring opportunities at extreme ease. His career numbers in assists more than explain his playmaking abilities.
With his versatile combo of athletic ability and Basketball IQ, imagine the dominance he and Michael would bring, night in and night out.
