Pierce as our new Jamison? Would probably look the same. Just with more attentiveness

Get Webster first and if u have no other option get pierce for veterans minimum. Not many better "vets" gonna be available aside from Garnett

Are you guys crazy?! Everyone's complaining about how old we are, then you people want Paulina.

We don't need him. We need youth.

If it benefits the team? yeah. We're gonna end up with vets in the first place. If we get anything close to younger this year, I'd say we got hella lucky.

We ignored the fact that Steve Nash was a Sun and we embraced him to the fullest...

It's all about youth now. Yeah, we could potentially get Pierce but we'd end up where we did this year; 1st round exit.

Yes, you ignore he's a Celtic.

You can't run a team based on that kind of bias.  The Lakers need help.  If he was bought out and he came in for cheap (both still unlikely) I'd take him in a heartbeat.

If he wanted to keep playing for dirt cheap of course you add him to the bench & give him the green light once he checks in.

People keep saying that but as Mitch came out and said, young players simply don't agree to sign for the minimum which is all that the Lakers can offer (without some serious salary dumping and amnesty moves). Basically the rest of the league screwed the Lakers when they put into place this CBA that affected active contracts.

Is another old player what the Lakers need? Of course not. But what is the alternative at a minimum salary? Particularly given D'Antoni's inability to actually develop players, taking on Devin Ebanks level young players is a worse option.

There's a lot of Young players out there that will sign for cheap... it's just that they are not big name young players

Paul Pierce is a lifetime Celtic... he's old and did I forget to mention he's a lifetime Celtic?!?! are we really that desperate?

Are some of you guys kidding???  You guys wouldn't embrace and accept Pierce joining the Lakers just because he's been one of the Celtic greats???

Any player such as Pierce that is beneficial to this depleted Lakers bench and team in general would be a gift.  Despite his age, he is a great competitor and would be the center piece/leader of the bench.  Even though I doubt it happens, Pierce would easily average 12-14 points per game off the bench and to compare him to this years Antawn Jamison is disrespectful.

And as for the people saying that their are young guys with Pierce's ability that would accept the MLE.  Name me two if not one....
