In other words, that could mean the right to a Lebron type treatment as Cleveland did. No team can prevent him from fan criticism though.

I agree. You just don't give away your intention of signing back (at least that's most of us assume), he's just trying to secure the max deal.

So does that mean if the Lakers try to re-sign him, it will only be a max deal? Looks like he's not yet sure where he's playing next season?

So if he's happy (which I think he is) according to people around him, I still believe he'll stay. Pretty surprised on your poll where the majority believe he's going.
