In other words, that could mean the right to a Lebron type treatment as Cleveland did. No team can prevent him from fan criticism though.

I agree. You just don't give away your intention of signing back (at least that's most of us assume), he's just trying to secure the max deal.

he already has a max deal available to him from lakers, so that's not it

So does that mean if the Lakers try to re-sign him, it will only be a max deal? Looks like he's not yet sure where he's playing next season?

he'll get whatever he wants in $ from Lakers - he says it's about deciding what makes him happy

So if he's happy (which I think he is) according to people around him, I still believe he'll stay. Pretty surprised on your poll where the majority believe he's going.

Howard is the one deciding this - not sure anyone in his entourage knows what the decision is yet - don't know if Dwight knows yet
