I like a player who chases championships...not money. What's DH's motivation to stay here other than money?

Pau Gasol is GONE

Building championship caliber teams and actually winning championships are two different concepts. If I was DH, I would be concerned about certain personnel decisions that have been made the last few years.

Why wouldn't the Clippers make a run at Dwight? Not that big of a deal, many teams will be lining up for him. He's the one of two premier free agents available.

Almost as far fetched as us having a chance to sign Chris Paul.

So according to SI Dwight has only $2.4 mil/yr in endorsement money. Thats it?? Good for #31 among all athletes.

Dwight Howard
Los Angeles Lakers (NBA)

There was the chance that Howard’s off-court stock would rise after his trade from Orlando to Los Angeles last fall, but that hasn’t happened. Advertising experts say that his bad attitude in recent years has hurt his marketability, which is why he has only three big-name deals: Adidas, Gatorade and Acuvue contact

The Clippers don't have the means to land Dwight Howard

The Los Angeles Clippers are reportedly interested in signing Dwight Howard in the offseason, according to Eddie Sefko of the Dallas Morning News.

Sefko wrote on Sunday:

There is new competition, by the way. A few executives around the league have learned since the Clippers’ season ended with a first-round playoff loss to Memphis that they are probing ways to dump enough salary to make a run at Howard.   Other personnel execs said they doubted that the Clippers could free enough money to make a serious run at him.

The Clippers could free up enough money to go after Howard, but it certainly wouldn't be easy.

Lamar Odom, Chauncey Billups, Ronny Turiaf, Matt Barnes and Ryan Hollins are all set to be free agents this summer, which could free up some salary cap space. But the Clippers would have to either let Chris Paul go or trade Blake Griffin or DeAndre Jordan to complete the picture. Given that they re-signed Jordan to a four-year, $43 million deal in December 2011, it will be tough to trade him.

I'm not worried about the Clippers stealing Dwight. The only team I worry about is Houston.

I'm in Dallas right now it is NICE!!! Not quite as fancy as LA though and its quite muggy here at nights ha. There are tons of Laker fans here it feels like Im back in LA lol also there are lots of Cowboys and Rangers billboards and haven't run into anything Mavs related...you just wouldn't know they play here. Seems like a Football and Baseball town first before basketball town.

I drove into Houston, it's not a bad place. I think of it as LA lite. The city is huge, and the roads are nice. Also horses go up & down 10. Awesome stuff. SA was ok. I'm in Dwight's old home and they have every food place you could ever want. Nom nom
