Let's hope OKC offers Durant and Westbrook for Dwight in a S&T but Mitch convinces them to take Duhon and Gasol ;)

We'd let Howard walk if it came to accepting Lin and Asik for him.

Asik and Lin are both getting 15 mill EACH in 2014/2015. That's just a joke.

I understand these are just mostly rumors anyways. But that one had to be the dumbest one.

Lin, Asik, Parsons, Robinson and an unprotected first round pick in 2014, that's the type of haul needed for this to be considered.

Once again, it's better to have assets than not to have assets. Lin and Asik are assets that can help next season and better yet: they're moveable assets, that either can be traded during next season or after, so we can make a splash in 2014.

But like I said: Lin and Asik alone, wont cut it. If LA is going to facilitate a CP3-Howard-Harden trio in Houston, we need to get back a lot more than just Lin and Asik; mulitple cheap guys, including Parsons, and unprotected first round picks.

What are you saying? No team is going to want Lin or Asik, especially after next season because they're contracts are terrible. You realize that just having 1 of them is going to be 30% of a team's cap space, right?

That's entering superstar money and they're just not worth it.

Screw this. Make it a 4-way deal where we get a 1st round pick from all the teams for the 2014 draft, and in which Dwight goes to the EAST.

This way we got 4 young players with potential coming in, all while keeping Kobe and Pau on 10 mil and 5 mil $ contract, and have Enough money to sign two MAX players, or more willing to take a pay cut to play with Kobe, Nash, Pau, 4 1st round rookies, and possibly 3 max type players :P

Ok i'm pushing it, aren't I?

They aren't movable assets.

Its a TERRIBLE trade that wont help in the short term nor the long term. Moving on.

I swear the people with the most opinions on what the Lakers should do have the least amount of knowledge on other players and the CBA.  How on earth is just "having assets" a good thing?  Sometimes assets can be toxic.  No one is trading for Lin now that it has been somewhat shown that he isn't anything above a serviceable starter on an avg team.  Asik a possible but even then no one is paying him 15 mil to put up a quiet 10pt 10 reb game.  Not to mention none of that will help the Lakers win a ring in 2013-14 season either.
