Huge difference. Thanks for clarifying.

No problem...common mistake...

All of you that act as if every FA is crazy not to come to LA have no clue. Did Garnett come here? How about Bosh? What about Mello? All of TLN wanted these guys to sign. And then the tune changes when they go elsewhere. Other than D12 for a single season name me a major FA signing since Shaq almost 18 years ago. A declining Ron Arrest? Pau was a trade. Nash a trade. Jamison....lol. If LA is simply irresistible because of the legacy why have so many FA's switched teams and pass on LAs offers? I don't think that vast majority of modern players GAF about a legacy.

I agree with you that today's players are not as well verse with the history of the game and couldn't care less about the history of the game. Not many current players are students of the game. The only player I know that appreciate the history and are student of the game is Kobe Bryant. The rest don't really gives a rats ass about a franchise history or what not. All they care about is where the money is, the coaches they prefer to play for or if it will be easy for them to win a championship. However, if a franchise like the Lakers truely wants you to represent them. Willing to bend over backwards for you and it still doesn't affect you, it shows the lack of appreciate of greatness.   The only thing and I truely believe that prevents Dwight to play for the lakers. THE ONLY THING i repeat is because of the "system" and the coach that will be running next year.  Thats it. Case close.  Even a franchise like the Lakers cannot sell to anybody for one to stay or join. The Lakers do have pedigree and prestige but a system and a coach and change that drasticacly.

MDA is an offensive genius. I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps doing what he does best: Run and Gun. That's the only way to coach.

LakersGAFan:  The Lakers have been painfully over the cap and unable to sign top flight free agents since the Kobe and Shaq era.  If they had a ton of cap room, things would be different.

Management needs to learn how to spend money WISELY. That has been one of Mitch's biggest weakness

MDA is killing everything. Damn Lakers.

Seriously...

If we had hired Phil, I guarantee you Dwight you would be staying.

Though I would love to oust D'Antoni, it's not even July 1st and you're assuming Dwight is leaving?

O.K.. :|

There hasn't been one direct or indirect quote from Dwight.  All that's been out there is grand speculation from "journalists" trying to get some scoop that doesn't yet exist.

This happens every time there are big free agents out there and so many fall for the same gossip rumor rigamarole over and over.

I agree. I'm taking everything with a huge grain of salt until July 1st. Then maybe I'll pay more mind to some of these rumors.

Epic and fido both good points. I also think KBs injury impacts D12s decision greatly. He came here to win chips with Mamba. And after his injury who knows...

Chris Broussard, aka Mr. Multiple Sources, was the only one that reported this.

Nothing we didn't already know I thought... Dwight and Chris have always wanted to play together, ATL has always been an option, and LA has always been over the cap. They're reaching for a story

If the Clippers want Howard, they can have this clown. Send him to LAC in exchange for Eric Bledsoe and Blake Griffin or DeAndre Jordan.

Arguably the greatest franchise ever

As fido has said, all this talking is all the medias doing, but I think it is generated from the players agents and the players for leverage and "source" purposes of course.

I'm not assuming he's leaving, but I wouldn't have any doubts about him leaving if we had Phil at the helm.

As it is, I really don't know what he'll do.

So it seems like clippers are holding Bledsoe so they can offer him and Blake Griffin for Dwight Howard in a sign and trade. Would you guys so this?

Why not? This way if we know Dwight's leaving, we get some good pieces back for him than him leaving for nothing.

Lakers have fully resisted Clippers overtures on a sign-and-trade for Dwight Howard. "They will never do it," source with knowledge tells Y!

No getting Blake Griffin and Eric Bledsoe for Dwight Howard is not a good deal.

We may as well ask the Clippers to take Blake and Gasol and give us Chris Paul.

Any Laker fan that thinks doing a S&T with Dwight for any player outside of top 5 player is an idiot.
