I did not want Dwight to come here and when the Lakers traded for him, I was pissed since I knew he would cause drama just like he did to Orlando

The only regret I have that the Lakers traded for Dwight

I am glad he is gone and now it is Houston's problem

5 thru 7 of that list literally drove me insane last year.<br /><br />He was decent but I still don't think he's a center. Of course having KAJ and Shaq have spoiled me. Except for the free throws with SO and DH. <br /><br />I'm not happy we got embarrassed by Valdemort but honestly, long term were better off. You don't need a dominant center these days to win chips. And he is not a dominant Center. Has a two shot arsenal and can't find the ocean from the beach from the line. He's a good rebounder and defender (I suppose) that's about it. <br /><br />They say you don't pay for the steak you pay for the sizzle in the NBA. I'm kinda glad we didn't this time. <br /><br />I'm sure our FO new the whole time he wasn't coming back. If there had been the slightest chance, MDA was a goner. Which he will be after this next year anyway. Although I trust Mitch, I'm kinda leary of Jim. Jeanie yes, Jim, meh . <br /><br />The clown never wanted to be here. Pretty much rehabbed or complained the whole year on our dime last year. All while mean mugging a broad smile at every camera. Whatever. I'm over this clown now and now have a new team to dislike (never did like Houston, per Ralph Sampson) even more. <br /><br />Good luck clown and be sure to keep smiling . You'll need it when the Clippers, Thunder and Warriors confine you to a second round exit year after year after year. <br /><br /><br /><br />

I was on this thread yesterday afternoon as the tweets came rolling in, and I’ve never seen anything like it in my life.  I’d get to the bottom of a page of this thread, and there’d be two more pages added.  I couldn’t keep up.  Someone at some point posted: “I wish Lakers defenders moved as fast as this thread”.  It was outstanding.

I am surprised by Howard’s decision.  I thought he’d stay.  I didn’t think the Lakers would win a title next year with Howard, and I believe he’s fooling himself if he thinks he’ll win a title with Houston in the short term, but I could be wrong on that (please baby Jesus don’t let me be wrong).

It seems to me that Howard is running away from Los Angeles as much as he is choosing Houston.   L.A.K.E.R, above, wrote: “I thought he'd stay here and we'd be able to mold him into a more serious player(because we weren't going to win anything with him until that happened)”.  I think that’s exactly right.  I don’t think Howard will win anywhere until he’s a more serious player, and when he was confronted with the magnitude of how much work it was going to take to get the Lakers back to championship level, and when he was confronted by Kobe Bryant, who knows exactly what it will take to get back to championship level, it was all too serious for Howard, and he bolted.

Howard says he wants to write his own story.  As if he couldn’t have done that with the Lakers.  Or maybe he felt he couldn’t climb out from under Kobe’s shadow.  Or maybe he felt too much weight carrying all the expectations of Lakers fans, Lakers legends.  Maybe it was just too much work.

Any way I look at it, it feels like he’s running away.

It sucks and it’s a little hurtful somehow, but if he is running away, then it’s best that he’s gone.

Nicely said. Although it's really telling when you see Howard cite a reason of why he chose Houston as "I want a fresh start". How many fresh starts does a person need? He said this with Orlando, with LA, and now Houston. I'm willing to bet that this isn't the end of the Dwightmare. Something will go wrong in Houston, and he'll be whining again when adversity hits. At the very least, it will be satisfying to see the media destroy him.

Dunno. It happens sometimes when I use Tapatalk on my DROID. Doesn't show up when I type it but shows up in my message in the thread. Sorry. It's a pain.

Yup, Kobe can close more comfortably now without having to worry about a Hack-a-Dwight.

Bright side, hack-a-Dwight is Houston's problem.

<br/> is a break to a newline in for the html code. The program he's using probably doesnt translate over to this site or these type of forums.

^ Can we make any changes to this site to fix that or is it impossible cause the changes would have to be made through the other program, which we have no access to?

Are they still showing him on the Laker channel? I can't watch it anymore. Just wondering if they are on vacation like the FO.
