he's not really helping our cause to re-sign dwight

Neither are fans for that matter. His girlfriend didn't receive many nice comments last night and Dwight was booed tonight reading the Code of Conduct at Dodger Stadium.

Magic needs to STFU. He never got in foul trouble because he never played D.

tl;dr Me and my family have been long time Laker fans and can't stand Magic's [expletive] anymore

My dad became a Lakers fan shortly after he got to this great city in the early 80s. Magic was the best player he ever saw play and was inspirational to him. Magic was to him what Kobe is to me.

In recent years however, ever since Magic sold his part of the Lakers and started talking mean [expletive], he can't stand him. It's like he never was a Laker.

On the tweets themselves....who wouldn't blow up after putting up with THIS for four games:

Big men get treated differently when it comes to being fouled. Most of us witnessed it when it happened to Shaq when he played for the Lakers. It is unfair and disgraceful.

he goes off on Dwight on twitter... then invites him to Dodgers game and sits with him =p

What annoys me the most is that while he is able to have an opinion, he talks like he's heavily involved with the Lakers and he's not.  He sold his ownership share and distanced himself.

He's talking like a fan, but he's a public figure so what he says reaches more people than the casual fan.  I know he loves the Lakers and he's very emotional about the team struggling, but he needs to watch what he says because he should know being a business man, comments like his are bad for business.

^ Exactly, plus the fact that since he's a public figure.. He influences those who don't have the mental capacity to think for themselves nor who has no idea how to run a franchise/business. It's totally good to criticize a player, but this situation is very delicate since we're on the verge of losing big part of the franchise asset, you can't just go off like that.

the picture above of D12 being hacked by 4 players at same damn time says it all just like MAgics quotes = Annoying!

refs dont call the game correctly for D12 & its been that way all season long. He is same size & weight as LBJ but since he doesnt have guard skills they treat him differently. D12 must learn to stop the foolish fouls in retaliation & learn that he is a big man & not wing player so all his moves to the basket do not have to look smooth with finess like Kobe. Sometimes he gotta just do it ugly & quick like the unathletic bigs that put up #s against him routinely.

Don't forget that Magic is a Shaq fan and chose Shaq over Kobe (Miami over Lakers) many times after Shaq was traded.  This is not news on that front.  Magic dumps on the Lakers to make his accomplishments with the Lakers seem that much more heroic.

Sad, sad old man trying to hold on to former glory.
