If we could get Tyrus that would be a good pickup.

Hey, is Shawn Marion a free agent? I looked that their roster on the Mavs' official website. And it says that he is. Or they did they make a mistake?

That's a mistake it looks like.

Who will REALLY tank mid-season?

Will Dallas shell out Dirk and Marion? Will Atlanta give out Horford? Will the Knicks go wholesale if the team plays at a less than .500 level through December?

Nine teams are projected to win less than 33 games and they’re going to tank, whether they’ll admit it or not. Those teams are: Jazz, Kings, Suns, Raps, Bucks, Celts, Bobcats, Magic and Sixers.

Other than those teams I think teams like the Cavs, Wizards, Pistons, Pelicans, Trail Blazers, Mavs and even the Lakers could tank. Basically all teams that are at risk of missing the playoffs or teams that get injuries will end up tanking when their destiny is somewhat decided. With the prizes at stake in the draft I think a lot of teams are willing to throw this season.

I need to see Jabari and wiggins dominate like Kevin Durant did in college. Show consistency then lets talk

If true, Cousins, Derozan, Gay, Rondo, and possibly Dirk, Marion , and Aldridge could be out there by trade deadline.
Maybe some of our young guys or even our cheaper vets look pleasing to a team.

I want something out of the blue like Farmar, Pau and Young for Westbrook and Ibaka

So, you guys want Melo and Kobe , but Westbrook can't play with Kobe?

Iverson and Melo played well together. Durant leads the league in scoring and Westbrook is his teammate. They play winning ball also.

Also, I realize that OKC has zero incentive to trade Westbrook, unless OKC has a BAD year, Durant and Westbrook don't get along`and we find a way to save them money on the backend, maybe even give up our 2014 first, and even still that's a long shot.

I don't even think OKC would trade the duo of Westbrook and Durant even if they had a bad year.

Houston Rockets, I'm told, are wrapping up a deal with free agent Ronnie Brewer

Well, should we look to Stephen Jackson now? Although he's 35 years old, he's a physical defender that was often called upon to defend Lebron.

We could also sign CDR. He's much younger and more athletic.

I hate the fact that OKC and Houston seems like they're smarter than the Lakers. When we had Howard there were a lot of cheap moves we could have made that would have made a world of difference during the injury plagued season, but we didn't.

It's so weird being Laker fans at times.

Sometimes we see Mitch and Jim pull off some extremely brilliant trades - like getting Pau, CP3 (!?!), Howard.

Yet, other times we see those same guys make decisions that makes no sense. Last season when Pau/Dwight, Nash and Blake were hurt and we had trouble defending the perimeter, we should have made a few moves. We didn't. We could have kept Matt Barnes, signed Birdman, K-Mart, Delonte West and traded for Ronnie Brewer and we would have been a lot better off. We wouldn't have had to play Morris and Duhon at the point, we could have let Pau and Dwight get healthier and Kobe wouldn't have been run into the damn ground.
