He is too skinny. Durant can get away with it because he is a Barganani sized 2 guard

How good can he be defensively? I see he's obviously quite lengthy, but how quick & athletic is he as well?

Wouldn't expect anything defensively from him, he's just a stretch four that can be dangerous offensively if he's open.

It just really depends on what the Lakers want at the four spot.  I know you're a big fan of K-Mart.  I wouldn't be opposed to him.  The powerforward market is extremely thin and getting another veteran might help this team.   With Gasol at the center, we'll need some defense at the four and I think Jordan Hill serves our team better off the bench.

Would be surprised if we got Ariza.

Considering we'd have to get him through trade I think it's pretty fair to say no.

Depending on how Kobe returns, is Meeks tradeable?

I said depending on how Kobe returns. not if.

As in how long it takes him to get into the swing of things and look to be remaining healthy

You could actually do that trade with just unloading Meeks =p

For some reason I have a feeling Ariza will be a Laker near the trade deadline next year.  Probably Meeks and a 2nd round pick or the Steve Blake deal depending on how certai players perform.

Now that K-Mart is staying in NY. The only best available PF's are Lamar, Drew Gooden, Tyrus Thomas, Yi Jianlian, Ryan Gomes, Craig Smith, Ivan Johnson and Leon Powe.

Ivan Johnson is a banger. Both him and Hill would swallow the boards.

Another player should take a look at is James Johnson 6'9 and weighs 248 lbs. He can play the pf and sf position. Age is 26, athletic, and a humble person.

James Johnson is not just a basketball player. He's also a heavily trained fighter who holds a 20-0 record as a kickboxer and who comes from a family of black belts.http://www.sactownro...g-off-the-court

I forgot Johnson was still out there. I'd pick him up in a heartbeat.
