The Lakers organization had already sent the wrong message to the fans even before the game, wtf were they thinking?

White towels to waive? Seriously? Might as well have given them white flags of surrender.

Biggest mistake of the previous offseason was not releasing Duhon/Ebanks and signing Barbosa.  Those 2 things came back to bite us in the butt all year long.

Barbosa would have added speed and athleticism to this squad and anchored the 1/2/3 positions during injuries to key starters.

Barboas is also a veteran of the MDA offense and would have helped the team transition there.

Barbosa would have been the best SG (2 way) we could have asked for when MWP went down, with Kobe sliding over to the 3.

Barbosa would have helped out immensely when Kobe went down, being able to play both 1/2...

It's one of those things that could have changed the dynamics of the entire season...

^ funny thing is if Barbosa had waited a week we would have signed him instantly especially with Nash going down and Blake going down.

But he went to Boston instead to never get playing time, injured himself and now is in Washington.  I'm sure he wishes he'd waited now :)

Our biggest mistake? It was Barbosa's decision to go to Boston.  He listened to his agents recommendation to go to Boston.

They set the playoff giveaways two to three months in advance.  The only other options were to throw away thousands of towels or send them to underprivileged countries.

Should've done that no question.

I would hate to be Jim/Mitch right now

If we keep the roster as is we would have to pay $85 mil in penalties so $185 mil for a team that is probably not a championship contender. New penalties are coming

Pau has trade value but can we dump him on draft night for picks? Who would want him? Can we get rid of him while having no insurance plan in case for some odd reason Dwight leaves? Then you have no bigs heading into 2013/2014

June/July is gonna be nuts. Hopefully Dwight gives a clear indication to Jim/Mitch he will re-sign and hopefully he makes it clear by DRAFT NIGHT so we can go ahead and trade Pau to make moves to improve the team. If Dwight is being a diva about this, takes weeks into the summer to make a decision, this will not help the team. He needs to keep the Franchises interest in mind as well so we can go ahead and make moves to improve the team
