This guy is 28years old, despite his injuries, I wont deny his greatness on defense, but on offense this guy is pure garbage. Everytime he has the ball on his hand and you say you arent terrified(unless he's open), you're a liar.

He always commits dumb offensive fouls and defensive 3 second violations, and everytime he gets the ball in the post he will make a ridiculous post move and either throw prayer, get stripped, or get fouled then bricking/splitting a pair.

The main thing that concerns me if the lakers give him the 5year max, how will he look like a couple of years from now when his athletism declines? What will he have to offer then? I cant help but think he'll be a worse version of Stoudemire.

My thoughts would be he'd be terrible in his last year or two of his contract, because that's when players usually lose their athlethicism.

Dwight relies more on athethicism than skill, so that's kinda worries me.

Well now D12 isnt as healthy, injured, older, and now has a coach with an IQ equivalent to that of a fish.

lol d12 from the beginning of the season is much healthier and he will only get healthier over the offseason..

and age doesn't really matter till your in your 30s.

hes 27. he has 4-5 years in his prime left.

mda will hopefully be gone.

He is a superstar. if he doesn't get max here he will just simply leave and then you will feel like an idiot for even suggesting something like this.  :smh:

I know hes a beast(defensively) but im worried in a few years his contract will bite the lakers in the ass.

We're not worried about the last two we're thinking about the first three

You can enjoy him bricking 300+ FTs/season, lack of post moves, committing dumb fouls, and hair pulling turn overs.

It's hard for any big man to be effective on the post with no threat of perimeter shooting.

He's taking the max no question on that..

The team will eventually pick it up .. If Kobe somehow is healthy next season, he and dwight will be a good 1-2 .. We'd be better @ the perimeter and inside ..

Everyone will know what his role is .. Just add couple of effective role players and change Mike..

People dont realize he is a complete player. Best defender in the NBA, best rebounder in the NBA and can put up 20 a game. How is that not max player. There isn not one player in the NBA who has these qualities.

I wouldn't dare call DH a complete player. I like him for his defense only

Pau Gasol is GONE

So remember that thought when y'all starting complaining about him in year 4, that he's not "earning" the big check, etc.  Kinda like Gasol now.

Anyone who doesn't think he's a max player, I don't know what to tell you.

DH has flaws, yes, but he's a max player and top 5 player in the league when healthy. It also doesn't help that this team has no shooting to help him out and an idiot as a head coach. Look at the numbers dude put up in Orlando when he carried a team full of nobodies past the supposedly "invincible" Cavs and into the Finals.

People.

Lets take Kobe.
He is Top 5 or so All Time.

A Max player is like Top 20 right now.

Dwight scores more than 90% of the league.
He is the best overall defender in the past 7 years.
He is not a black hole.
Most importantly

A torn labrum restricts movement in his SHOULDER.

He's the best center in the game. You give him a goddamn max contract and don't look back. He's the face of the franchise after Kobe retires. I'm sorry people, deal with it. If you have problems, I hear the Clippers are recruiting bandwagoners pretty heavily right now.

With this way off thinking, we should not have gotten Gasol?
