Found this another forum so I thought I'd ask....So Kobe is gone who do you give the ball to now if the Lakers are down 2 with like 10 seconds left? Post up for Pau or Howard? Pick and Pop for Nash/Gasol? Blake/Jamison 2 man game? Metta iso? What lineup of 5 players would you have and what play would you run to get a good shot?

Nash
Meeks or Blake
Jamison
Pau
Dwight

Is the best offensive lineup available. Run a sinple pick and roll with Nash and Gasol. A Nash jumpshot or drive and a Gasol postup are the best options we have. Working Gasol out of the high post in a pick and pop will work too, but he has to be very decisive on his next pass (usually to Dwight or a cutter). It all depends on what the defense gives you out of that pick and roll set up, but it opens up many opportunities.

Dwight will not be an option because of his poor free throw shooting obviously. No team is going to let him get a clean look.

Meeks or Blake in there for spacing or in case the defense collapses. Jamison, as well.

yo.

I made a thread about nobody wanted the ball at the end of the game before and seeing the fear in Pau's eyes when he shoots it.  So the answer to your question is "WHO KNOWS!"   lets hop whoever gets it dont choke.

MDA is an offensive genius. I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps doing what he does best: Run and Gun. That's the only way to coach.

For me I'd go with a Pau/Howard pick and roll at the free throw line/free throw line extended

nobody thats the problem! Since Kobe is gone.

#1 - Nash off PnR he must shoot it

#2 - MWP unfortunately (cuz he has made big shots before just dont let him make a move off dribble)

#3 - Blake off same PnR scenario as NAsh

#4 - Pau dump into post he kicks it back out and then give it right back to him & he cant make any moves just turn & shoot easy 5 footer

Nash for the shot or pick and roll with Gasol.

Blake for the shot or pick and roll with Dwight.

I've always liked Steve Blake.

In theory, we could just run the offense and let the ball find the open man.

Blake, Nash, or Gasol.

Trade for Austin Rivers, say, Hill & Johnson.

1 thing some neglect to factor in = without Kobe there will be no last shot chance cause this team cant keep a gm close enough to get that opportunity at end of 4th.

this is when Fisher would come in handy, every last 10 seconds of every game :P

right now, I'd say The Blake Mamba, The Chocolate Mamba, or The Mini Mamba. (do we have any other mambas?)

Anybody remember Rock N Jock basketball on MTV? It was a novelty basketball game where they had stuff on the floor where you could shoot for 10 and 20 points etc.  If the NBA institutes those, I could see the Lakers needing to make some crunch time baskets, other than that, they will be down by 10-20 in the last 2 minutes of each game in this series.
