Dwight & MWP were clearly spotted at the Canelo boxing fight in Texas just a day before the opening game and Magic took some exception.

Nice but at least the Lakers are practicing today and tomorrow while the Spurs are taking both days off to NOT practice.

Practice is underrated.  Not the game though.

if they play us the same way they did in game one then we'll probably win it.  Guess if they want to stay in the hotel all day and watch film all day that's fine but watching film and going out and working on it are two different things.

Spurs to me are like a team running on an hour glass with the sand pouring out the longer these playoffs go.

Spurs want to rest. So i think watching film instead of full-on practice, for them, is smart - considering their age and some players are nursing injuries. They know what they are going to run and they already execute it well... They can afford those 2 days off, imo.

But we'll see.

Love the Magic man but he is the worst sports analyst today. Anything he says on ABC or espn should take it with a grain of salt. Not all great players can be great commentators or analyst.  In fact, the best analysts are journey men players like the Barry brothers, Jaylen Rose or Greg Anderson or something.  It goes for coaching too. Their mentality are totally different than the norm and they expect greatness out of every player and every play. That is why you dont see hall of famer players become great coaches.  I don't know who is worst. Shaq or Magic in terms of analysing the game.  They put too much of their personal bias into every opinion.

MDA is an offensive genius. I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps doing what he does best: Run and Gun. That's the only way to coach.

same thing i said when I saw them looking all goofy during the fight. why are they there? they should be over studying with Game 1 looming & no Kobe to fall back on in crunch time.

Let's not forget to blame Sacre for going to the fights as well.  His cheering was clearly subpar in that game.

How many times did Magic have unprotected sex with a groupie before the game?

That was mean.

As far as the fight...I think Magic has a mental problem, like most old-timers.

What are you expecting a 7 seed, without it's best player to do? Our second best player has a torn labrum. Our other top players have other health issues, even Jamison has a tear in his wrist.

I think this is just MWP and D12's personalities. Unfortunately not everyone is like Kobe and studies hours on end in preparation for the next game, that's why he is who he is, Magic, Bird, MJ and so on. I think most of the new age players have these personalities unfortunately...

I'm almost certain if Kobe was on the team, they probably would not have gone to that fight, or if they did, Kobe would've at least let one of them hear about it (probably Dwight).

I agree completely. like i was complaining about the practice interviews & all the goofiness going on wihtout Kobe being there was a bad sign to me. nothing is funny right now even if they feel comfortable with kobe gone. they all should be pissed & focused on winning by any means necessary. TO ME it seems they are happy with just making the playoffs & dont care about winning anymore.

As said though, it's unfortunate, but nobody else on our team has Kobe's true killer instinct, in fact not many in the league. I can think of Chris Paul to some extent, but not even LeBron, as great as he is.
