I guess Pau and Blake get credit for the win last night...coaching had nothing to do with it?

Kobe is coach of the month. He trashed the offense and made himself the primary scoring option and facilitator, and he told Pau to [expletive] whatever D'Antoni was saying and just camp in the low post.

None of the players actually credit D'Antoni for doing anything. As far as I can tell, Dwight took it upon himself to be the coach of the defense and Kobe took it on himself to run the offense. Mychal Thompson deserves coach of the month as much as D'Antoni does, for getting Pau to be more aggressive.

What exactly does D'Antoni do? Poor rotations, overusing players, they appear to have no direction on offense without Kobe, and we know he isn't responsible for improved defense. He called one good timeout to save an 8 second call.

Antawn's response to the question of how much credit D'Antoni should get was classic.

I don't know how its even being debated on here that Pringles made any sort of positive contribution to this team's run to the playoffs.

Jack Nicholson has a bigger impact on this Laker team than [expletive]ty ass Pringles...

The coach is like the President.  He takes credit for the wins, and the responsibiliy for the losses.  While everyone knows good coaching is only part of winning, Antoni's wins in the last month mean he found the key to something.

This is another stamp and reason for lakers to keepi Mike D Antoni for all of next year. So all you Mike D needs to get fired needs to be quiet.

Am I happy about lakers keeping Mike D?  Hell no. I want him fired. But I dont go on here and [expletive] about him being our coach eaither. Cus this is what we have and we need to do what we have. We going to have him for all next year for sure.

Here is the fact.  Players dont have much respect for Mike D. Fans dont have much respect for Mike D.  But the organization does and who has the power to fire mike D?  Organization.

MDA is an offensive genius. I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps doing what he does best: Run and Gun. That's the only way to coach.

7/8 in April isn't too bad. Add that we knocked off Memphis & SA and it's deserved. But he really should send Kobe a bottle of champagne or Vicodins.

Homecourt is very overlooked. Did anyone ever notice that since the Memphis loss(in their arena) that we only lost twice at home from that point till the end of the season?

I heard it on Mike & Mike in the morning. It was funny. There was like a 3-4 sec silence.

So Kobe playing 48 minutes a game = "We need him and he is only going to play two more years anyway."

Nash coming back from injury = "Obviously we won't play him a lot of minutes."

Phil Jackson looks beter everyday.
