The NBA announces flopping policy for the playoffs. No warnings; $5K for first offense; $10K for second; $15K for third; $30K for fourth

Good to hear, but will they actually review the plays and fine the players when necessary?

^ Exactly. Based on how horrible a job they did in the regular season, especially after the first few months, I'm not all that confident. Good thing however is that everything should be under a microscope even more you would think since in the playoffs each game is pretty much that much more of magnitude & of focus. We'll see though.

Well not exactly. It's sorta a mixed bag because of what bigfetz above said. What good is a policy if it's not enforced? Based on how they did for the regular season, they don't have much credibility right now on this sadly.

They won't call out a guy like Chris Paul or Blake Griffin for this. It would ruin their image that ESPN tried so hard to make big.

Reggie Evans though, that will be enforced.

^ Nor James Harden, nor LeBron, nor any star or superstar for that matter. Special treatment to the max once again.

Had out "suspensions" over fines and I guarantee the flops will stop.

In the playoffs especially.

"Bryant had come to rage against the idea that Howard's clownish disposition could overtake the locker room, the Lakers' culture, and had warned Howard that he would never, ever let it happen."

Pretty sure they've done nothing right? Have any of you guys seen any so far?

Ha! What's 5-15K to a dude who makes millions? This does nothing to deter flopping.

Suspensions on the other hand....

There ya' go, JR Smith fined 5K for flopping in game 2:

This was the play:

Still, I've seen plenty others throughout these playoffs that have gone unpunished. Not satisfied.

That's what a fineable flop is?

The heat should have about a dozen flop fines vs them per game...

Most NBA players learned how to flop from Ric Flair. Take a look if you're not convinced:
