It makes sense for Brown too. Son will be playing at Butler University which he wants to be able to watch him, so he'll be a lot closer and his family was planning on moving back to Cleveland this Summer anyways.

One aspect of talks between Mike Brown and Cavs is offset with Lakers, who owed him $11 million when they fired him, source says.

Cavaliers, Mike Brown are constructing a five-year contract, league source tell Y! The final year on deal would include a buyout provision.

Talks are still ongoing about what, if anything, the Los Angeles Lakers would still owe Brown, source tells Y! Sports.

If the Lakers can get out of owing Brown $11 million, that would be fantastic.

If Cleveland hires Mike Brown, as per @WojYahooNBA, Lakers almost surely off the hook for $6 million they owe Brown over next 2 yrs.

How the heck is he in such a high demand?? are these NBA people blind?

ESPN's Marc Stein reporting Phoenix Suns reached out to Mike Brown (twice) but Brown passed to focus on other situations, including #Cavs

Mike Brown had other offers but major factor in decision came down to his family wanting to live in Cleveland.

Mike Brown knows what he's doing. Lakers FO was a fool to fire him. Apparently they though Pringles was a better fit "Personality-wise"

People can say what they want about Brown, hell I was one to criticize the hell out of him, but he did bring Cleveland stability during his tenure.  Was that all Lebron? Possibly but Brown puts the effort in.

@KBergCBS 57s
LeGarie orchestrated D'Antoni-to-L.A. Now, Brown goes back to Cleveland and LeGarie gets Lakers off hook for money left on Brown's deal.
