Tracy McGrady Is Unsure What He Can Offer Spurs

http://blacksportson...an-offer-spurs/

When asked how much he can contribute to the Spurs, Mcgrady replied:

“I guess that’s the unknown,” he said. “This is unbelievable, It’s a championship organization, something I haven’t really been part of my entire career. I’m very excited. I’m humbled for the opportunity. I’m not sure when I’ll play or if I’ll play. That’s not the place for me (to complain). I just know when my number is called, I’ll be ready.”

When Popovich was asked for his comment, he replied:

“We don’t have any expectation,” head coach Gregg Popovich said. “He may not play at all and he may play a bunch. It just depends on situations as we move along. He’s a quality player and a good person and he’ll fit in well with everybody. We’re glad to have him.”

Lots of people saying we will either win or the Spurs will sweep us.  Probably one of the most anticipated series of the 1st round...

For the Spurs the focus is health, not the Lakers

http://www.poundingt...parker-ginobili

The Spurs have been playing poorly and losing more games than anyone is used to going into the playoffs. And now we know that they will face a Lakers team that is missing Kobe Bryant but will have Pau Gasol, Dwight Howard and Steve Nash. Some fans are starting to panic, which is understandable.

MWP on Popovich:

"No, no no no no no," World Peace blubbered, his head shaking and eyebrows raised. "Not when you've got (Spurs coach Gregg) Popovich – uh uh uh uh uh. He's amazing. That coach is something else. I just know he draws up plays where he could have five old ladies after they eat 14 boxes of chocolate chip cookies. He'll put them on the court, and they'll win. That's how good Popovich is."

Ginobli is back.  No f'ing way Blake can hang with him.  While the Lakers have the twin towers and nothing to match up against that, Spurs have better guards, a better coach, and home court advantage.  Spurs in 6.

Can't this somehow be merged with this thread:

http://lakernation.c...ies-discussion/

?

and of course most importantly just have the poll included in it?

I think that'd be more proper & organized.

Clark would guard Ginobli

I've always liked Steve Blake.

It's also important to remember that Ginobili isn't 100%.

We're going to have to win 2 games in San Antonio to win the series. I don't see us winning both games 3 and 4 at home.

Of course, just pointing out that he isn't the Ginobili some expect him to be.
