As Parker goes, so go the Spurs.

Do your best to contain him and it gives you a chance at beating them.

I think its going 7.

Who are you and what have you done with Fido...???

Play inside out and stop jacking up so many damn 3's. hopefully Nash comes back and maybe he can finally beat the Spurs in the playoffs.

He's beaten them before. 2010 WC semis or first round can't remember which one

Ugh I want to say we can win the series but I just don't see it happening. We will definitely challenge them but I think their talented players compared to our short rotation with Hill, Nash, and Kobe out will end up being too much to ask. I do however see us winning game 1.

Prediction = Spurs in 7 :/

Props my friend. I admire your bravery & honesty.

Oh. Guess I forgot. Well anyway, it's always good to beat the Spurs so now he can do it as a Laker. I hope he's ready to go for game 1.

to be honest it will be a miracle if we win 4 games against the spurs. our bench needs to play out of their mind and hit their shots. meeks needs to not be an idiot

Ha!

If they play with heart and determination the match-up with the Spurs is much better than the OKC one, obviously.

I am still unsure whether they'd win the series, but I do think its going 7, or at the very least 6.  If it was OKC the Lakers would get swept right out.  The team did themselves a huge favor winning this game tonight.  Still impressed they pulled off 5 in a row despite no Kobe and no coach.

The problem is the playoffs come down to coaching and defense versus coaching and defense, and the Spurs have it all over the Lakers in both regards.

I just honestly felt all along there was no way we were going to be denied of the playoffs. From the insane comebacks in NO and CHA to Kobe's ridiculous shots against toronto, it just felt like destiny that we would find a way through thick and thin to get in. Playing a different opponent every night helped as well. Now is when the fun and real challenge begins. Not expecting anything, just for them to go out there and have fun. See what happens. Play like we have nothing to lose. It's not often the Lakers get to do that.

I hope so too. He's got a great shot to beat them again!

For a second, a lineup of  Nash(blake) / Kobe / Metta / Pau / Dwight is a championship lineup

Lakers - Spurs. It doesn't get better than this ! We match up well against them so we have our chances. Probably the best possible first round matchup for us.

Our playoff bracket is PERFECT. Everything lined up so PERFECTLY for us. We avoided the Thunder until a potential conference Finals series. Despite everything that went wrong this season, we could've negated all of it, but the one play, the one drive, the one second where that man went down ruined everything. I can't get over it.

The playoffs will be fun, it will be fun to see what this team is made of, but we could've made a very special run this season. We're not fooling anybody, we'd be lucky to win any playoff series without Kobe. It's not impossible, but the odds are against us.

Oh well, nothing we can do about it now. I can only imagine how Kobe feels or how any other Laker feels.

With that said, I'm taking the Lakers in 6 games if we steal homecourt. If not, Spurs will win in 5. 6 max.

If Parker and Manu are healthy then I doubt Lakers will win without Kobe imo.

My objective analysis tells me in Spurs in 5 or 6 (I'll go with 6). My dedicated Laker heart tells me that Kobe literally giving it his all and going down was a wake up call to the rest of the team in terms of how pathetic they were playing, and that they will find a way to pull this series out, letting the Spurs choke as they have been since 2007.

If we had Kobe I honestly think wed beat the Spurs... But without that go to clutch player dont see it happening. Not to mention that Nash is still an unknown. Id say Spurs in 5 or 6.

Laker fan for life.
